    feck me charti , dont say that you'll be labeled a cruel b*****d like me Chid; there's some VERY well known people from this site have had their dogs in my kennels, and no complaints, (also had a few of thier dogs in my house and bedrooms, and no complaints from me !!) !! If a dog is good enough to graft.... it;s good enough to be well looked after !! Cheers.

    Old, or even new, duvet's are crap ! They hold moisture and the dogs tear them to shreds !! If your kennel is draught proof, water proof, and insulated enough, you should need nothing more than a raised bed and some old carpet ! Carpet samples can be got for free from all carpet shops or carpet fitters. The main point is DRY & DRAUGHT FREE !! Most dogs are tougher than we think, and prefer a decent kennel, than being in the house ! Cheers.

    I'd make sure you are going direct to and from your permission mate.............stopping of for a spot of lunch in the town centre with a knife and your up shit creek. We have all done it...you just forget its in your pocket. I went to a Celtic game with a box of 50g .222 bullets in my pocket.............. Well the box WAS wrapped in a pound of semtex and aimed at some poor b*****d you thought had been taking your birds... shame you were at the wrong game, and should have been at the Toon game !!     I've tried to post a comment on the link, but I can't. These people should be made aware, in no uncertain terms, that hunting rabbits with dogs IS legal, as per "The Hunting Act 2004" !! If these people had their way, not only would ALL hunting be made ilegal, but it would also be a crime to have a pocket knife on your person; something which IS NOT ilegal in certain circumstances ! Well done to Gragman and Goz for putting our side of the debate so eloquently !! !! Cheers.

    Doc; I'd suppose when people say they want a dog from "your line", thats when the dogs you've bred and proved themselves for long enough on the quarry they were bred for, that it just may be "your line " !! Cheers.

    Inan, I agree that the SYMPTOMS of kennel cough are treatable, I've always understood that it is not curable ? Vets will definately take you for a ride with what they prescribe. A retired vet I used to beat for on a shoot said just seperate the dog(s) with the cough, keep them warm and well hydrated, no excercise and it'll pass in a week to ten days. It will run like wildfire thru' kennells and is easy picked up at shows. Cheers.

    I think two things that have helped to bring down lurcher work and Hunting are mobile 'phones and the Internet ! It's so easy now for dog walkers, joggers, hikers, etc., to see someone going about their LEGAL business of ferreting, lamping, whatever, to jump to conclusions and 'phone the police ! Not only are the Internet sites monitored by anti's, the RSPCA, police, and other groups who want ALL field sports banned, but the in-fighting we do amongst each other, on the 'net, only helps them ! I'ts admirable that you defend your mate, but lets stick to factsl You are correct about the sheep, but lets expand on it..... I didn't know if you were allowed to run sheep fields on your pemission, so I did'nt on that 1st one. When I saw that it was ok to, I did run the next fields and you saw my dog catch in those fields and she was/is completely stock safe ! Yes she did jump a gate, she was in the field with YOU. and jumped over to Me, at no time did she catch her legs, that simply is untrue.

    Well. there is only Danny or me can talk about "Bruce" on here, he was Danny's dog, and I had him in my kennel a few times. but it were Danny who worked him ! And a better "All rounder" I'Ve never seen ! The dog won the "Hunting Life Lamping Competion" twice, and was a grand dog day or night ! Cheerfs.

I had a scare last year, but the quacks say I'm in perfect condition for my age, (60) !" I'm not sure what you're getting at, but I'll work my dogs this season, and hopefully get abroad for my usual hunting in different countries ! I've been invited to Oz , NZ and the Middle East, as well as plenty invites in this country. So don't you concern yourself with my health ! Cheers/

    we can live in hope do you really think it will ever be repealed and well done big dog It will never be repealed, mate ! I, and my missus, marched, protested, bought the badges, etc, !! Still go to the Hunts, (was at the Border at Otterburn, on Boxing Day), but it won't stop me from hunting, even if I have to go abroad to do it !! The vast majority on sites like this have never realy HUNTED, they may take their dog out for a run, but the old days of hunting are rapidly reciding into the realms of history !!
