  1. Because people who usualy have nothing better to say, ask "how's it bred" or say "nice dog/pup", but in this case, I'm genuinly interested in how it's bred !! Cheers.
  2. I hate to say this, but.......... How's it bred, mate ? Cheers.
  3. Yeah, that would be a good cross ! I was thinking of putting this Wolfhound over Delta..... But you can see by the look on her face, she wasn't to happy about it !! LOL !! Cheers.
  4. There's 16/17/18 lb Non- Ped Whippets racing and doing fantastic times and I know for a fact that some of them catch rabbits. This is getting towards the top end weight for I.G.s, which weigh between 8 and 18lb; but there is absolutely no comparison between these whippets and Italian Greyhounds.... one is a race bred flyer and the other is a Toy Breed Lapdog ! Anyone thinking of using an Italian Greyhound for working, had better be prepared for dissapointment, heartbreak and some enormous Vet bills !!! Cheers. so what about a small breed racing whippet x italian greyhound chartpol?

  6. Funny you say that lol I don't own one but a bloke in Oxford I know does and his was originally brought as a sofa dog for his mrs until one day he was out with it and it nailed a rabbit and retrieved it. After that the bloke has used it over the last 3 years to catch bolters his terrier flushes. I know its not loads but in total had over 200 day time rabbits now and no phone box in sight And I've got a Mini Manchester Terrier, (honestly), that draws Badgers, lugs Wild Boar and grabs Deer by the hock and trips them !! LOL !! Cheers.
  7. Hancock doesn't do "Bulls"; doesn't do "lines"; and there has recently been a 13 page discussion on "Hancocks" ! So, yeah, I think you are on a wind-up !! LOL !! Cheers.
  8. Another wind-up !! LOL !! Cheers.
  9. I think a Lurcher should be "fit" all year round, but once they start the real work around September, they will run themselves to that next level of "fitness", and should be bouncing by November. Cheers.
  10. I thought you wore cardigans? only in friends company, if im oot way a stranger i turn them round an pretend its a jumper So it's NOT true that you wear one o' them Bay City Roller's tartan jumpers when you're "oot we the dug" ??? Cheers.
  11. They are a "Toy Breed". Lapdogs with serious problems with breaking bones just doing things like jumping off the sofa !! Couldn't catch a rabbit in a 'phone box. Now just watch all the "Iggy" owners coming on and saying how THEIR dog does rabbits, hares, foxes, etc !! LOL !! Cheers.
  12. Seven year old, 23", 38-40lb. Sire; Beddy/Greyhound. Dam; Deerhound/Greyhound x Whippet/Greyhound. Cheers.
  13. There are restrictions on dogs flying; the 'plane has to have a pressurized hold, not all do. Also. live amimals can't be transported in the same hold as human remains. Some airlines WILL let a small dog, in an airline approved crate, travel in the main cabin, but you will probably have to pay for a seat ! So, there are government rules and airline rules, so the only thing you can do is check with the airline. I've flown dogs from the Middle East to the UK, and Australia, and also flown dogs from Oz to the UK, and the rules change with the destination and the airline ! Cheers.
  14. You miss a feed because of "forgetting or being to busy " ???? !!!! Cheers.
  15. I remember the old Whippet Racing guys fasting their dogs one day a week as part of the feeding regime; one day fish, another day offal, then meat, etc. Don't know if it worked, the dogs are faster now and I havent heard of any one doing it now. Cheers.
  16. I hope they get a good turnout, as it's a great hunt and a tremendous place to have a show, the scenery in the Valley is terrific. I would assume the Judging has improved since I was last there a few years back !! The Huntsman for the Hunt Judged and he was hilarious !! LOL !! The sleet was coming horizontaly down the valley, and he couldn't get finished quick enough!! Eventualy judging the dogs two at a time to get it over with !! We still enjoyed the day and the craic !! Cheers.
  17. Russia lost the USSR, all the Eastern Block countries, the Warsaw Pact, and saw the Berlin Wall fall; so Syria will be just another Middle East country losing a Dictator and gaining Anarchy, just like the rest of the "Arab Spring" !! Don't forget, Egypt was once Russias proxy in the Middle East, and they lost that. Cheers.
  18. GTE did i not state in my other topic that i was only on about football? I put 50 on South Korea before the shootout,i had to stick to my guns in one aspect I will say though im pissed off specially when im a Chelsea follower I EVER HEARD OF THE CRAIC I dont think so I pulling his leg and the same old faces jump in trying to give me a kicking which is nearly as funny and predictable as ever So, it's "leg-pulling" when YOU do it, but "a kicking" when OTHERS do it ?? Cheers.
  19. Fair do's !! After reading Fazza's 1st post on the other thread, he must be slightly embarrassed just now, as Team GB has taken 6 Golds today, including 3 that actualy mean anything, Heptathalon, Long Jump, 10000 Metres ! But for Cookie to be having a pop is a bit rich....... Did he ever find that combine he lost ?? LOL !! Cheers.
  20. I've liked Alaunts ever since I saw Zeus, a few year back at Bedlington Show. I couldn't justify having one, there are better crosses suited to me, but they ARE impressive looking dogs !! Cheers.
  21. So when you are lamping, you lift your dog over fences, gates, etc ? Cheers.
  22. What about when sheep fields are seperated from arable or fallow fields ? Rough land from cultivated land ? Here in Northumberland, (and most places I've ran in the UK), there are many fields seperated by fences and walls, and if a dog don't jump.....it don't catch ! Cheers.
