  1. I might come 9th, just slightly above the Afghan !?! Cheers.
  2. You both seem decent lads.... you don't resort to abuse, and use a bit of humour. I like that ? Cheers.
  3. I've thought for a long time that the coursing dogs and the non-ped whippets are two types of lurcher, ( I know, I know, they are technically long dogs), that are breeding true to type and could be thought of as separate, speciality breeds, perhaps "hare dogs" and "race dogs", although I doubt "hare dogs" would go down to well these days with certain sections of the populace. Cheers.
  4. I'm still teaching him. Hes a work in progress ?? Cheers.
  5. Start my 70th year on Sunday. No real worries or problems. Champing at the bit to get this pup started ! Cheers.
  6. Wasn't it £3,000,000 and you become a party treasurer and got a peerage ? Then you've got Prince Charles; £500,000 gets you a CBE, £1,000, 000 gets you a knighthood and a British passport if you're a rich saudi. Cheers.
  7. These people live in a world where honour, truth, respect and all things that are "right" to normal people, have no meaning. Lord Archer, jailed for perjury, lying in court, still has his peerage. Lord Mandleson, sacked twice for corruption, and then made a lord. Theres many more. Its just a continuation of the ancient practice of giving out baubles to people who have done favours, and who use that bauble, a peerage, a knighthood , titles and letters after their names, to make contacts and make money. Throw out a few meaningless MBE's to the dinner ladies, lolly pop me
  8. She could allways refuse to use the title "Lady" ? Of course she'll use it, and make sure everyone calls her " Lady Blair" Champagne Socialists love a title........ Cheers.
  9. Surely the queens advisors would have told her to expect this backlash, or do they just not care what the people think ? Cheers.
  10. Campbell is an alchoholic depressive who was once sectioned because of his behaviour. How anyone can justify his opinions being aired on msm is beyond me. Cheers.
  11. It is, mate. The Order Of The Garter is a personal award from the Monarch, nothing to do with the politicians , although the Prime Minister could advise her to not give it, but he won't . Cheers.
  12. Vets get commission on selling all that dog food you see advertised in their waiting rooms, Ray. They had my neighbour paying £70 a bag for that Hils Science Plan stuff for her beagle. Ive got them feeding their new pup the same as I feed my dogs.....RAW and BARF, and the pup looks great on it and she's saving money ! Cheers.
  13. Back when the BWRA had a 32 lb limit, there was huge wastage in non-ped Whippet litters as they tried to breed down Greyhound blooded dogs to meet the weight limit. Us "up north" usually had a 21" limit, and some clubs had no- limit, as we raced handicaps, not yards per pound, so the dogs that went above the weight limit got sent up here, and we had some tremendously fast scratch dogs, that would, without doubt, take hare and roe. Then the BWRA eased the rules on the amount of Greyhound blood a non-ped could carry, and raised their weight limit to 55 lb !! I got banned from the
  14. When Northern Lad called in for a visit, he took some pics of my old dogs, these were the black and whites; If you could colourise them, we could compare them with the colour shots ? Cheers.
  15. No mate, the first one was offered to me but I had three dogs at the time so passed, the other one was kept. A litter brother went down the midlands, and as far as I know is having a good career on deer. Cheers.
  16. Just been checking my records, these pics of some of the pups were taken in June 2019; so they were probably born around April/may 2019 ? Cheers.
  17. Maybe two year ago, not sure. Cheers.
  18. Just for complete disclosure; the parti-coloured dog belongs to CH, my mate loaned him the red bitch to breed a litter, and this is the litter. My mate offered me a pup, but it wasn't my type. I don't want to get involved in a " he said-she said" , " my mate told me" type of discussion ? Cheers. Edited to add; I've evidently got my dogs and owners confused, it comes with age ! ? ! The parti coloured dog WASN'T owned by CH, it was owned by another person. CH bred the red bitch and it was owned by my mate. The breeding wasn't anything to do with CH.
  19. Why would any youngsters want to be on a site full of cantankerous old farts like us ? Cheers
  20. Yes'm mate, this bitch is stockier and heavier boned. I put that down to the dam which is an Irish coursing bitch, whereas the dam to the other one was an English racing bred bitch. The deerhound blood is more or less the same. The hounds are very well behaved, I'm not sure if there would still be 100 lurchers in the car park a minute after they were let loose, though ! ?? Cheers.
  21. Here's a few wheatan types owned by mates in the U.K. and Ireland. Two first crosses and their litter; Two line bred Wheatan/greys; Two litter sisters, Deerhound x Wheatan/Grey; Cheers.
  22. Huge number of mounted followers, I estimated around a hundred, could be wrong but certainly more than usual. They didn't hunt, it was just a meet. Cheers.
  23. Yeah, she'll be 8 months next week. Good to get her socialised with the hounds and horses. Cheers.
  24. Excellent turnout at the Morpeth Hunt today. Master addressing the supporters; Must have been around 100 mounted followers; Got to say, it's a very uneven pack; Even the odd Welsh hound; Nancy the deer/grey pup and the hounds getting to know each other; Cheers.
