  7. I've pretty much got the same cross as you mate with added 1/20 bull and a similar thing happened to me.......obviously not exactly the same as i was coursing a bag of chilli doritos and just on the last turn a f*****g maniac in a Steam roller came flying round the corner and straight over my f*****g dog, christ he must have been going 2/3 mph the lunatic..... Anyway i was lucky the dog only got a chipped nail....i really think this was down to the bull in it.........The twat got out to see if the dog was ok but i set it on him and "f****d him up bigstyle".....i've videoed it all on my phone
  8. That is almost the divvy quote of the year I think there was more than a hint of sarcasm in moo's post. If you were breeding a dog for deer then i would of always run it single handed to reduce damage to the meat, and rather than get hung up on a particular cross i'd buy a pup from proven deer catching parents.....
  9. Doesn't look like the best country for running dogs, not a lot of tackle or variety, in summary right up your street then Best of luck with the job shroom I heard midget bull fighters were taking off................
  10. May i take this time to issue a public apology to 17 year old Ralph from Shropshire, he called me this morning and threatened to "slap the taste from my mouth" if i disrespect his westie "Hamish" again. He has also offered his unconditional advice to any forum members who wish to pick his brain on any hunting related matters, he started off reading Frain books in December 2010 before allowing his westie to "look vaguely interested" at a road casualty partridge last wednesday, so with those credentials its obvious the man "knows his shit".......... P.S. Hamish the westie (almost 8 moinths

  12. Well i never drink at shows but its a little dictorial to say others can't have a beer, plus a couple of beers enables some folk to have the best dog in the country..........until the ale wears off...........
  13. Thats the other Ralph from Arbroath, hes 19 and been bang at it for weeks, so he knows his shit
  14. Time to dip the baseball bat in dog shit and ground glass

  15. Some injuries can be treated with experience and knowledge, others require veterinary treatment, BUT this can be a grey area and folk can be prosecuted under the animal welfare act nowdays...........
  16. No offence mate but does it matter a feck if folk on the fourm think your dogs needs a vet, thats your call but i dont think a dog being booted around the field like a rugby ball will be peachy......If its coughing could have damaged a lung, i'd be at the vets if i thought the dog was injured, not on here waiting for 17 year old Ralph from Shropshire whos westie chased a blackbirds advice

    badgers

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm so you think the verges have more worms than the fields? You get worms on the tarmac too, along with road kill which attracts them, also boars moving settes will be crossin roads.........

    badgers

Recent wet weather has them on the roadside verges looking for worms, some streches of road have very high fatality rates.......
  20. Anyhthing to deter dog theif is a good idea, preventive measures at home, cctv, locks, fencing etc, and loosing a dog must be awfull, if your lucky enough to find who took it and where it is the best thing would be to go and kick his cnut in before taking your dog back. Chips and tattoos will help if your dog finds its way to a kennel/vets etc but i also understand why some don't want there dogs chipped...........
  21. Yes Aaron, i have had dogs tattooed on the inside of the flank......
  22. Trouble is that can be a double edged sword, the pup could chase a sheep and a previously stock broken dog joins in, seen it happen
  23. Was waiting for bonsun to reply on this thread, the man knows his pie stuff
