For me the situation isn't quite so black and white, circumstances change and shit happens in life and you have to roll with it. Its easy to say don't have animals if you can't afford them but affording feed and routine care is different to getting a huge vets bill costing thousands, there are several scenarios, insurance is a great option, i have some of mine insured and its great piece of mind BUT what happens if you are made redundent, lose your income or such like, then feeding your family, paying your mortgage etc are priorities, unfortunately dog insurance isn't, many folk have no probl
