  1. Finally. Someone who understands. They are just misunderstood victims of prejudice.
  2. Why would shot out of a 3 1/2 inch cartridge have slower velocity?
  3. interesting. Do you know when the photo was taken? The "Brown" bit of him looks like he is in winter coat.
  4. I did. Found it boring. Not enough fishing or comedy for me.
  5. I'll probably be told otherwise but personally I would always err on the larger side for Wildfowling. Purely based on my theory that I find it harder to judge the range and I think I find myself shooting at birds that are farther than I think.
  6. I'm very protective of my plums too.
  7. the 3 1/2 inch chambers are for shooting the larger sizes of steel shot. It's nice to have but by no means a necessity. Get a 10 bore instead.
  8. I enjoy cleaning my rifles. They get a full clean after every outing. I have a bore snake that I use if I am in a rush when I get in, then they get a full clean the next day. I can't understand how anyone could damage a rifle using one unless they tied one end to the rifle and the other end to their car and drove the full length of the A1. Use the correct one for the calibre, pull it straight out. Don't use one with knots in and check it doesn't have any nicks fraying or cuts.
  9. She obviously had a screw loose. Those poor children. Honestly don't know what she deserves.
  10. So you don't lose it in the dark?
  11. I'd prefer to use a spade.
  12. knocked on the head or not it is odd that the fish was just flapping there on the concrete in the sun. I always take a cool box or a bucket or even just a bag and a wet towel to keep fish cool once so they stay fresh. How long were they going to leave it there. If that guy didn't like his kids seeing that have some balls and say sorry mate but can you just put that fish out of sight somewhere? If the guy gets verbal then just take your kids to the other side of the f***ing massive park and forget about it. Why do people think they need a cause to fight for? Maybe makes them
  13. Does it attract planning regs though? Is there a size limit. A small splash fed with wheat would pull The teal and mallard for him. If not I read somewhere about a guy who rolled out clear plastic under the moon, laid some decoys on it and shot duck over it as they were thinking it was a splash. Maybe that was a tall tale though.

It's not just people like him. Has anyone seen the articles in the Daily Mail about trophy hunting? They use words like Vile and Despicable in headlines about stories they really know nothing about. There's no background or any actual facts in the article just a diatribe about how sick people who hunt are. If I wrote the same sort of stuff in mainstream media about any other legitimate sport I'd be sued or worse.
  15. I agree with point number one. I like point number two most though. That bloke needed chopping.

I tend to agree with dogmandont. Whatever the outcome of this, if he attended or not it would have gone badly for the shooting community. He'd have spun it anyway he could to get whatever publicity he wants. Say what you like about him and or Wild Justice one thing they are is incredibly media savvy. Far more so than any shooting organisation.
  17. I'd like to see that. I like Dicaprio and some of Brad Pitt's films too actually.
  18. Awesome! Thanks for the tips. I can feel a fishing trip coming on!
  19. Thanks. Every day a school day.
