  1. Co2 is the most expensive and least efficient conventional way to power an airgun, that is not to say it isn't suitable to power an airgun though!
  2. Must be something Remington make that will do the job so how about a look through their website, or a chat with Edgar Bros!?!? No idea about any third party manufacturers although a lot of non proprietary parts are available for the Remington!
  3. It's always there, although the rabbit population in England is HIGHER now than when it was introduced over 50 years ago. It will tend to manifest itself more when high populations are present as this leads to more contact and therefore an easier spread, often when there is a harsh or very wet Winter and bunny stays in his burrows more it spreads wider too. Tends to move through and area and almost always some survive (not necessarily because they are immune) but can have devastating results. It will be back, several areas I shoot have been clear for years but I know sooner or later I will

    .25 cal?

I take your point with the Rapid and 50ft lb, but decent pellets are not cheap and even the rapid runs out of air quick with these powers. If you are going this high I would have to suggest .22LR with caps/shorts/longs/shotshells/even LR Subs. I don't see a 50ft lb .25 Rapid as a rat gun, so it wonders into other areas which personally I believe the .22LR can handle just as well and probably better, and also cheaper.
  5. If the scope is bolted tight taking the stock off should not effect zero, but for some reason it often does....if you need the gun tomorrow and will not have a chance to check the zero my view would be to leave the trigger alone tonight!
  6. Well, they would wouldn't they, I suspect if they had been the victims of this disgraceful hate and terror campaign they would have said the sentence was too light!
  7. Do you have the product delivered??? If not, then they have declined your offer and the answer to your question is sorry, but, NO!!!
  8. Kay Mortar can fall but it is unlikely to carry on like this, the most likely cause is mice, rats or squirrel, (don't think the Glis Glis has got to your part of the world yet) they may just be in the cavity at the moment hence no sign in the loft space. Rodents knaw, thats what rodent means, and they often chew cables which is commonly the end of them and can cause fires or expensive repairs, problem is there is seldon just the one!! ATB!
  9. Don't get it........i had to turn scope to max and still point above can tryed about 30 shots but no change , what has turning the scope up to max got to do with anything and if you fired 30 shots with no change I assume you were grouping so what happened to the air it was meant to be losing at a dramatic rate?? When air is very low the shots fall off like a cliff! Rifle tuning requests are strictly forbidden here, your post would possibly suggest seal damage but try your local RFD he will soon sort out the problem!! ATB!
  10. That's it...an advertised price is simply "an invitation to treat" the seller has absolutely no obligation to sell you the product at the advertised, or any other price, even if he takes the money off your card he can still pull the sale. Once you have received the order he is too late, it is yours and he is deemed to have accepted your offer!

    .25 cal?

If we are talking about 12ft lb then you will struggle to get a better RAT gun, but you will also struggle to find any other uses for it!!
  12. Chap...help me out here....you may not know a lot..... BUT A fella in the hunting shop said its either 22 or 17. (or 177?) , anyone in a "Hunting shop" should be able to tell the difference EASILY...and did they not sell pellets so you could try some.......if all else fails get a tape measure out! If its OLD the odds are it's .177 or .22, .20 is newer and .25 little used...if it isn't .22 then you don't have many options left! Frankly, forget this Hunting Shop and find someone with some brains!!
  13. Care is obviously required but the lead (assuming it is lead pellets) is MUCH softer than the barrel, so you can afford to exert a bit of pressure on the pellets. As said, a decent cleaning rod should do the job!
  14. Pretty much sums me up too! This is such a good forum, but it's being let down by idiots. The more that get rooted out, the better IMO.
  15. What do you recommend for the oil any particular brand??? There are loads of oils on the market and everyone will have their favourite for whatever reason. I use Parker Hale Express Gun Oil, but frankly I don't think there is anything much to choose between them all!
  16. Where, don't have a clue where to get one???
  17. I need a 3G USIM card, and of course I don't want to pay for it...anyone know where I can get a free one please??? Cheers
  18. If you get a chance try some lower scope mounts, keep the scope close to the barrel, especially if you are using subs which you appear to be. Cleaning of these will help to keep them working, but don't overdue the oiling when you have finished, just a very light coat on the working parts!! Semis are always fussy whether they be a rimfire or shotgun, the right ammo and the right cleaning regime will help! ATB
  19. Don't know about your part of the world but I suspect it's the same as England....my understanding is, you are f****d unless you talk very nicely to the man from DEFRA.
  20. excuse my ignorants but is a rabbit shot at 250 yards going to be bits or is it usable the only reason i ask is there are times when i might want to shoot a few rabbits for the pot. Also how would you describe the sound that is left from your moderated 223 as opposed to an unmoderated one on a scale of one to ten. ten being the loudest sound coming from the unmoderated rifle. Thanks and sorry if it is a bit confusing A rabbit shot at any distance with a centrefire is suitable for the pot, if you hit it in the right place...the ammo obviously has an influence, but the reality is a he
  21. Centrefires As a general response in the range of .222-.243 a lightish Ballistic tip would be my suggestion. But all land, distances and problems are different so ..........................!!
  22. I have never tried on foot as the car allows me to cover more ground. Do you not get nackered if you have to walk for miles every night? It keeps you fit you tart and not everyone has a motor, or has suitable land for driving!!
  23. I use these in my Urika, 28g fibre wad 6 shot, loaded by Gamebore, good cheap cartridge, IC choke, nice pattern. ATB PV That's handy..I run a 391, will have to keep a look out for these!
