  1. Nope, just you!! I am really struggling with you, do you have a reading problem or is it just understanding, read my posts again, I am not right and nobody else is wrong! This forum is not about idiots with **** up there arse, you seem to be here to simply cause grief and slag off people, if you have nothing constructive to say I suggest you go back to the keyboard experts on BBS!
  2. From what I have read on this subject, the boffins seem to agree that it is to do with immunity. The conclusions are that when mixxy enters an area some rabbits that get it will recover and they will in turn, pass on this immunity to the next generation so that if for instance the mixxy returns the next year then many more rabbits will survive. However, if mixxy does not return for say 4 years and the immunity will have been much watered down then it is likely to have devastating results. It was assumed that the flea carrying the desease from one warren/area to the next was mainly carr
  3. Not actually true, Natural England's latest information quotes that the current population is 35% - 40% of pre 1952 levels and is increasing at the rate of 2% per year. DEFRA quoted last year numbers were higher then, so there must have been a dramatic decline who knows and whose figures do you believe?
  4. Did you get from Deben direct or from a local dealer, whatever, they should have some record of your transaction even if you don't. Take it back if it still in warranty and the product is faulty!
  5. Is ALL the ammo brand new?? Winchester has a wax crud on it which may effect some guns! Eley is known to be the most accurate in most guns!!
  6. I disagree the s200 is a very good gun and the 10 shot conversion works very well i get 40 shots from mine and it's never let me down. You disagree that a multishot is the way to go but talk about a 200 with a multishot conversion
  7. Pretty normal and again the reason is simple, first off they are not breeding so they are not chasing each other around, many no longer exist due to natural predation and mankind and mixxy. It is cold and just like most of us they like to keep tucked up nice and warm (below ground), they have put on fat deposits from the summer and food is much less plentiful so no need to go out, they do not like to, and have no reason to expend energy anyway at this time of year...I think that about covers it!
  8. Times are changing and life moves on, there is nothing wrong with the 200 but I don't see it as the gun to buy today for life! You need to consider a multishot for sure in my opinion!
  9. There are no hard and fast rules about population but you will TEND to find rabbit populations at their highest in June, the reason for this is simple, the first born of the year are breeding themselves, as well as the older ones, providing a large number of young and food is plentiful. Following on from this period the fox clubs, birds of prey etc are plentiful and are getting very hungry and killing themselves. On top of which all the tarts who find it too cold to hunt in the winter are all coming out to play in the summer so loads get shot as well!!
  10. Flippen 'ek, not going well is it, not sure of the problem here but if it is a new purchase suggest you have a word with dealer!!
  11. You could start by looking at some of the JSR own brand at the very low end of the price scale (but still very good value for money) or spend a £1000 plus without much problem, scopes get very personal! All I would suggest is that it's a rimfire, so no recoil to consider, and rare if ever you will be shooting out much past 100yards with a 10/22!
  12. European Rabbits do NOT have a season and Landowners are legally bound to control their numbers, rabbits tend to breed from February to October, depending exactly on the weather and food supply, and have up to 7 litters a year, they do not breed in the depths of winter! We wonder into areas of vermin control and sport yet again with this thread!
  13. I'm more than a little p****d off with the weather today, not been too well for the last week or so, so I've spent too much time on THL, all arranged today for a fox/deer shoot and what happens.........so, more than half way through a bottle of wine and back with THL!! Everything put back 24 hours so fingers crossed for tomorrow!

    .25 cal?

Each to their own Chris and I simply look at tools as the best for the job, little or no self indulgence for me, JUST TOOLS, I shoot everything from 12ft lb to .308 (and shotgun), my guns are tools and I select the best one that I can for any individual job! Not for one minute looking at air rifle v rimfire, simply tools for the job! A 50-60ft lb .25 Rapid must be great fun but simply does not add up as a sensible tool FOR ME! But never fired a .25 over 12ft lb,, so if anyone wants to invite me to come out to play with a powerful one I'd love to have a try!!
  15. Get a gun/scope mounted lamp!
  16. Not a fan of the Hogue stocks at all but the Howa range is underated, it's getting a bit more recognition these days and in principle you won't go far wrong in my opinion!

    hw 100

What you up to Davy...how do you fit that on a AA410
  18. .22LR is a common rabbit calibre! http://www.chuckhawks.com/7mm-08.htm
  19. You will need a screw stud in the Butt, but there is a special attachment that goes under the screw fitting on the fore stock so that just slips on or off. Thats what i thought but didnt know how to word it. Do you know where i could get or order one from? Cheers for the info pal The fittings were supplied with the gun when it was new, so...it should be listed on Berettas/GMK website as a "part", there may be third party option available but not sure, any problems, an email to GMK almost always brings results!!
  20. 180-185 bar, but talk to these guys..... http://falconowners.myfastforum.org/viewfo...0562a7456bda18b

  22. Probably have a better chance if you post this in "Deer Stalking & Management"
  23. You will end up with 2 certificates...a FAC & SGC. Still don't understand why this can't all be done on one certificate with different sections for FAC/SGC details...seems simple enough to me, saves double lots of photos as well...which is another joke, as my latest variation on my FAC came back with EXACTLY the same, scanned photo, as on my SGC!!
  24. The difference is simple, a centrefire has a percussion cap in the centre of the cartridge case which is hit by the firing pin, this cap ignites the propellant in the cartridge and bang. With a rimfire, the firing pin hits the rim of the cartridge where the original percussion take place and the propellant is ignited. Rimfire are smaller, less powerful calibres, and centrefire more powerful for reasons of chemistry and physics! With regards what you have used in the past and what is the best calibre for each quarry, well, not enough space, and open to considerable debate anyway!!
  25. At the risk of being shot or verbally abused could I suggest a similar thread about racism and derogatory comments about immigrants? Having folk openly admit they are racist on here etc does nothing to promote this site and in my view gives yet more ammunition to our opponents. Sorry if this is in the wrong place but feel free to delete it ....just a thought! not looking for a debate or arguement. This has nothing to do with shooting deer with an air rifle, and...... You forgot the Gays, Irish, lesbians, invalids, deaf, epileptics, vertically challenged, bald, single parents, etc,
