Its an interesting one, with the recent hike in price of the FAC/SGC the variation fee actually came down!

What calibre T3 and what is going to be your primary use and distance?
-
Simmons did the WTC in 3.5-10x40, but I thought that said Simmons on it. Certainly the logo on the turret caps!

There isn't a best of either, as you can see you have already got a mix of kit (and prices). What is best is what works for you, just think of weight, size protrusion, etc., when considering which mod to buy. There isn't a whole lot to chose between any of them on sound moderation, particularly with a .223, but try and get one as calibre specific as possible, ie, get a .223 mod, not a .308 mod and fit it to your .223! Scope wise it will depend on your day/night shooting, distance, preferred magnification/reticle, etc, a .223 isn't harsh, so just about any scope will take the bashin

Not quite following that, but I have been more than happy with the accuracy of my Magtech. and also its reliability. To date the ONLY time it has jammed is when I was helping another shooter test some ammo which he was having a problem with in his semi! This can't last I'm sure, and the time will come, and when I least want it no doubt. For some reason it likes Magtech 40g HP Subs. I had looked at, and followed these for some 2-3years before investing as I thought they must be rubbish as they were so cheap, but personal use of several, and also seeing them regularly used as a Club g

That's always a handy bit of info

You will never know if he was right unless you actually zero at 150 yards! Different weights/types of ammo will give different results under that plan, and do you actually want a 150 yard zero? Try all the obvious, make sure everything is tight on the gun, start VERY close to your target (nothing wrong with 10 yards), bore sight it (you can do that well enough by eye), take off the mod if one is fitted, and take it from there.

Each to their own but personally they just feel and look cheap and tacky. I'm not sure what Remington had in mind when they bought Marlin about 8 years back now! I spent a lot of time looking at semis over the years, I have a requirement for one but my BA still gets far more use. After a lot of debate, testing, research, I settled on about the cheapest semi you could buy. The Magtech 7022, which is quite simply a Mossberg 702 rebadged, and available in the UK about £100 cheaper than the Mossberg. I seem to recall it actually cost me £125 (or was it £145) BRAND NEW about 5 years a

As SS above...and what zero do you actually want, and what has led you to that zero distance, whatever it may be? Are you saying zero 1" high at 100 yards, if so what zero does that give you?
-
My T3 Lite Stainless .223 (1-8 twist) gets on perfectly well with PRVI 55g SP. That does 1" all day in mine, and for field use that does me just fine!

When was the last time you read/saw a bad review about any air rifle/shotgun/ rifle? no because if they slated anything they would not get paid/given guns and kit, Hatstands/escorts are cheap nasty rubbish.Seen plenty of bad reviews on the hatsans and not many On the armsan that's why I asked I sometimes wonder if all the bad reviews are from Hatsan owners or the gun has become a bit like the.....land Rover Defender.....whenever its name comes up lots of people say how bad it is Was it the early Hatsans that had problems???? I have owned one and know another 2 owners...none of us has

Combro Chrono Any Good?
Deker replied to Craig Fosse's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Mine must be about 15 years old now, I believe several upgrades have taken place in that time. They are cracking bits of kit, but can be a tad fiddly to set up on the gun. -
How Accurate Is The 17 Hornet At 200 Yards?
Deker replied to slipper's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
The shooting was at Bisley, 200 yard Short Siberia, I'm there again soon, I'll keep my eye out for this one and have a chat! -
Done! Give them their dues they responded quick, but unfortunately can't help!

Done!

Many thanks for all the responses but here lies the problem, I have been down all these routes and this particular battery/size seems more than elusive in the UK.

if you can accommodate a few mill then this should meet your requirements https://www.google.co.uk/shopping/product/6120976826465146302?q=12v+2.6ah+battery+uk&biw=1366&bih=651&prds=paur:ClkAsKraX0gxaUoiWMaI95BQWOzl-mdfLI520ZPavO7_rZkjpDyYKaToDJEgoE0RYVldDOe9U5UQtoklBIsalnbcAzevr05R_6deIGZ_gW0JGc2ifRcxZV6OpBIZAFPVH73CVfDUophnxm-8UQf2T0Q-vQDiZA&ved=0CCsQpitqFQoTCKL7496z_MYCFQrsFAodQIIOdQ&ei=m7a2VeLBCYrYU8CEuqgH alternatively the best bet would be RS components. Many thanks for your help but width and depth make it a no no.

http://www.chiway-ba.../SJ12V2.6Ah.pdf Anyone know where I can get one of these please, preferably in the UK, they are Chinese but not having much luck communicating with China. I'm more than happy if anyone can steer me in the direction of an English/British/European equivalent. Power and Ah is important but size is particularly, as it has a specific battery compartment to fit in. MANY THANKS!

Many suggestions so far around shooting, did I miss Long Netting. Shooting is not always the answer, perhaps a combined approach?

Views On These Pellets?
Deker replied to patterdale's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The type, shape, weight and make are just fine for general field work, but for 12 ft lb you may wish to look at a lighter pellet. It's the same old story though, will they work in your specific barrel? -
Magnification When Zeroing My Scope
Deker replied to Lewissc's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
If you were shooting at quarry at 30 yards what magnification would you use? Use that magnification to zero! Why would you want any other magnification? POI should not and will not change on decent scopes, unfortunately some cheaper models may suffer from this problem. -
There isn't a best, there are a lot of cleaners about, and the one people use is the best. I have tried a lot over the years, none of them truly impresses me, they all come with work and effort of some sort.
-
The Law and Guidelines tend to blur in a lot of areas. Suffice to say many Guidelines are treated as law by the police, and they will commonly try to impose their will on the shooter. Here lies the problem, with the guidelines behind them it will be down to YOU to argue with the police why they should not apply to you, and to argue that case in court should it go that far, few courts will set aside the guidelines.

I Won't Be Cleaning The 17Hmr Barrel Again
Deker replied to RIP.JD's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
There seem to be 2 very different schools of thought with the HMR, some say NEVER clean it, others will tell you to clean. If you clean, which I advocate, CLEAN IT THOROUGHLY, don't do the job half heartedly. Many people suggest they have cleaned the barrel, but simply make a gesture at it, then suggest it takes (in some cases) 50 shots to get it shooting straight. A clean true barrel will shoot straight first, or at worst second shot, after a PROPER clean! A pal of mine was complaining about his HMR/cleaning/problems a while back now, he wouldn't have it, saying he did clean i -
I Won't Be Cleaning The 17Hmr Barrel Again
Deker replied to RIP.JD's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
How long or how many shots since you last cleaned it? You can't clean a dirty HMR bore with three pull threws with a bore snake. All you did was raise fouling and cause the issues you have.
