  1. Would love to smash Fransesca from the apprentice's back doors in.

  2. Maybe they were introduced because they were persecuted by keepers until they became extinct?????? In my eyes the sea eagle has more right than the pheasant to living here. Pheasants get killed left right and centre on our roads yet keepers go out of their way to kill birds of prey. FFS some roads round here are literally carpeted with pheasant as there are thousands getting released yet the same keepers actively kill anything with a hooked beak. You should hang your head in shame.
  3. ....Not me but well done to who ever did it. I remember 2 seasons ago a pair turned up on the estate i pick up on...started taking poults and stuff. The keeper was interviewed about them and it was on tv about the damage they were causing, could have been countryfile. Anyway if one of these birds was to build a nest on the shoot then there would be an immediate exclusion zone on shooting which in turn would have been disasterous for the shoot. Cant believe the legalities that follow these introduced birds. Gon the axe men..... Not good, not good at all. They were introduced because nar
  4. As above, 15" is a big ask. Dont buy any of the chinese ones, make sure its one of these.... minelab, garrett, cscope, viking, teknetics, fisher, tesoro. Pm me if you want advise on one your thinking of, im well into detecting and know a little on good/bad buys.
  5. Stick the live trap in the van/ back of car and take it away or am i missing something? As for telling the customer that you are shooting it from the start sometimes they dont need to know. Ive been asked loads of times not to kill the pest and always tell them i wont if thats their wish but often do anyway, especially squirrels. Ive even been asked to relocate mice believe it or not. The customer is happy if they think your going to relocate and often dont understand the problems/legalities of releasing/relocating certain species. In my opinion its best if they dont know.
  6. 1600 a month for sitting on her fat arse. No wonder they vote Labour. Freeloading c**ts
  7. Ive been getting serious numbers lately.
  8. Theres an x terra 30 on ebay at the moment, if you can get that for less than £100 you wont go wrong with that at all. Great detector, i used to have one but got the etrac now.
  9. I agree with lab, if it was well looked after and humanely slaughtered its not a problem to me.
  10. Im in awe that catchers can get £16 a mole from a farmer. Seriously.
  11. bloody hell. got to be 100 % when using mushrooms. terribly sad story.
  12. As articgun says, it wont be weathered in the garden during summer. 8x10 is the minimum for me. 10x10 or more in a decent garden.
  13. 8x10 minimum for me mate.
  14. i used to have a terrier that wouldnt do a thing it was told. i pulled up at a big mansion house to do some mole trapping and the dog was standing next to me while im talking to the lady when all a sudden it sees a squirrel and its off!! The woman was dead posh and she was shouting at me to control the dog so im shouting at the dog who isnt taking one bit of notice as its chasing the squirrel round and round a rhododendron bush. The woman is now going mad at me so i end up chasing the dog, which in turn is chasing the squirrel round the rhododendran bushes on her grounds. It must have looke
  15. You cant really go wrong with C.O.T.W. Cant think of anything even similar so ID shouldnt be an issue. Doesnt taste like chicken but like its been said, got a meaty texture. Worth a try
  16. Any john grisham book (apart from the ones on rounders) . The lee child's series on jack reacher are a good easy read. Stephen leathers dan shepherd series are good also. Top of the charts is a book called gone girl by gillian flynn, excellent. Also enjoyed pillars of the earth by ken follett, about medieval england.
  17. He knew what to say but still think he was a knob. Ill bet any sum of money he will be marked now.
  18. No i didnt 223. Some of the shoots didnt look particularly strong so i thought id leave them all till this year before i reap my harvest, not sure if that was right or wrong. Got the rest of my taties in today, and put 3 trays of onions in my "greenhouse" for a bit so they root a bit.
  19. Just thought id update how my garden is going. Ive planted a load of onions, stutgarter and sturon, and still got more to go in. Got my earlies in, charlottes, and have put in some main just this morning, pink fir apples and picasso, got some king edwards to go in maybe tomorrow too. After that i will be banging a few marrows in and thats it, nothing else. Keeping it simple like last year so i can manage it ok.
  20. Mate i dont think you need books so save yer money. Youve caught a few so keep it up and you will soon learn the ins and outs.
  21. What quarry are you after and how many days a week can you fly? They need answering first. As a rule, goshawks are NOT a first bird. Reading books wont prepare you for a gos no matter what anyone says.
  22. Fastest mole was when i set the trap and was covering it over with muck and thought id set it off accidentaly but it was a mole at the very end of a run trying to make a run for it (literally). Only happened once but heard of faster. Deepest mole- Really not sure but not particularly deep. Best mole - a farmer said his dad was a pro moler and said there was a mole in his dads garden that dad simply couldnt catch. He bet me a bottle of scotch i couldnt catch it and i did 2 days later- Result.
  23. I slip the barb through the snout when asked to hang them on the fence. Its not a great practice but it has to be done in certain scenarios.
  24. Argo and the possession are worth a watch
  25. My ones from last year were great too. Im still using the last of mine now, they were excellent.
