  1. I'd be looking to get a scraping from vets to confirm, Bravecto will sort out demodectic mange without any after admin, not sure if it will sort sarcoptic mange plus there's a bigger clean up job with bedding etc
  2. Or force his eyes open and watch films with sheep and violent images like on clockwork orange, with a bit of Beethoven music. ?
  3. I'm not out lamping every week and setting the world on fire but I have no issues avoiding stock and wouldn't feel right letting my hound course round them even if they were bulletproof, I think stern correction at time is important which I have done but never had opportunity to confirm training due to future avoidance but it was a scruff of the neck and harsh voice correction, I wasn't risking a bond for an accident due to the dog at time being young and not having any formal livestock introduction which would be the better option and going back to it where necessary, again I'm a novice and
  4. Shit happens, retrain, crack on. Speaking from no experience with stock taking a dog lol, I just avoid sheep fields. Atb
  5. If you waited for the perfect weather you would never get out, wind had its uses last night though when I slipped back in the stream I was stepping out of, filled my wellies and stuck my hand in thorns, however the dog pulled a blinder when I was on the way back to the car thinking we were going back empty handed.
  6. Get a pal who has a calm dog to do some corrective training with positive reinforcement, some where private then it's on your terms, some videos online, most likely not a short term fix depending on his level of aggression, as gamerooster said you may have to choose but at least you can say you tried.
  7. Is it the same camouflage that the Predator uses? Rural police will now need Arnold Schwarzenegger.
  8. Got this bundle of madness in December, she's 16 months now, 24tts, only had 3 rabbits with her but looks promising, recall is good doing some retrieve work with her, I kept the hide off the last rabbit and put it out to dry so I could put it on a dummy, but she found and ate the thing, gone in seconds ?
  9. Sausages!! Lost a jacket from accidentally leaving them in the pocket in the past and the dog has chewed them out

  12. Have a lot of time for paracord, wrist loop at one end, finger loop at other, wraps round hand when not in use or just dangles from wrist comfortably and when I lost one, zero Fs given. Not an answer I'm afraid, but an alternative. Atb
  13. It's on the cards, remind me in August.
  14. The question should be, is it right,if it was an accident then fine but anything other than that is cruelty to both animals in my opinion. Atb
  15. Sounds like my dog after I have done his nails, I always manage to get them ?. You probably dodged a bullet if her pads are okay. Atb
  16. Makes perfect sense, I only like my meat shot or from conditions similar to a concentration camp in aushwitz. I think it's a big win for the rural police and anti coursing community, why worry about the depleting oceans and an insane population that eats multiple millions of animals daily when you can remove a minorities freedoms and think you have a win. The rural communities are the angels of protecting free animals and should not allow anyone to acquire free meat and negatively impact the economy.
  17. Try and scrape a few more nights [BANNED TEXT] April, tonight would of been ideal, work has blocked me though, saying that COVID has stalled a fair bit, roll on next winter! ATB
  18. Drag Lures - Stallion Gates & Railings Fabrications STALLIONSHEFFIELD.CO.UK Stallion Gates & Railings Fabrications - Hand made fabricated products - Gates... Don't know anything about them, just a Google search, also brings up bull X lures.
  19. Mine thinks his name means you still have time to piss up another tree and eventually answers to get here now dick head when I growl it.
  20. It's mind blowing how folk think, With potential food shortages on the horizon and an insane population that no longer stockpiles food and an increase in food banks nationwide, I reckon people will be to distracted in years to come to worry about us, and the fact that we butcher millions of livestock a day I struggle to comprehend how running dogs get a mention. Off my soap box now? Atb
  21. What's everyone's view on numbers and attitude towards hunting rabbits, a lot of game has seasons and number restrictions but rabbits are classed as a pest and don't fall into this category, I wonder if attitudes to hunting rabbits would change if you had number restrictions to 3 a night (more than I usually get) because we're certainly not gonna starve if we blank. are you; Out for numbers, Out for a few, Time with the hound in the outdoors, Or. Something else?
  22. Good looking hound, what size and weight is she? was thinking for an all rounder on the lamp in about 4/5 years when I semi retire. Regards
  23. For big dogs these guys go, and they look pretty focused.
