  1. Have you got her number please?
  2. Sounds like that kit combo works just fine mate Good result
  3. The vision will leave you eventually ................ eventually
  4. We have another Googler
  5. I wondered if anyone would admit to googling it I don't want to give the game away before Rusty has the pleasure but, my search history is now well and truly violated ...... Feck knows what sort of ads I'm going start getting on here now
  6. Looking at the snow scene makes me feel cold. I really like that deer picture - she's done a bloody good job. I'd have that up in my house
  7. It wasn't all a bed of roses - I was an '80s kid - some of the clothes I'm wearing in old photos are shocking And we had to put up with Timmy Mallet.
  8. Sorry Phil, I thought I'd replied to this. I don't really use the Baracudas or Polymags very much but, for their limited ranges (40yrds max) I find that they're both very effective. Neither expand as intended at sub 12 levels but, the shapes of them means that they impart a lot of energy quickly. If you're going to try some Polymags, get the shorts - they're designed for rotary mags and, I've found them to be more accurate than the longer ones. ....... Bung me a PM if you want some posted up mate
  9. I've been using a Combro for the last 3 years and, I've recently bought a Chrony F1 Master. They're both good bits of kit but, I still seem to use the Combro more - it's compact and easy.
  10. Aye, our Jimmy does like a good hunting post Fair comment on the field craft mate - good luck tomorrow
  11. Good point Rezey ...... I'd never thought about that. I unzip the bag and lay it open for a while. The rifle goes on a towel on the table until its warmed back up then, I take the stock off and wipe it all down with kitchen roll to make sure it's dry. Then I oil it with Balistol. I can't make the same claims as Mark because I wasn't born until '79 ....... But, so far, so good.
  12. Good luck mate I look forward to the write up Now, I know that Air Arms finest is leaps and bounds ahead of their second place offering, the Pro something or other ( )but, did you not fancy a shotgun for a pure numbers job?
  13. Well it ain't me - my searches are usually Emma Butt, Wifeys World and, occasionally Midgets.
  14. I do - always have ......... Then it drops back to normal in the new year. I'm an active person and, my job is very physical but, there's so many nice things to eat and treats. Yes, they're there all year but, I just seem to crave it in the winter A new butcher has just moved in near where I work. ........... The other night I had a 1 1/2" think rib eye steak with home made 3 times fried chips, onion rings and eggs - it was bloody lovely, the steak had a slightly creamy flavour I've got some chicken parcels, pork sausages and goat in the freezer.
  15. I always do this time of year ...... Then it comes back off again by spring. There's just too much nice grub around - feck it, I'll start a new thread just for us porkers
  16. Good on you Socks Reading some of the bits in the link, it sounds like his health's been suffering lately so, the home cooked meal was probably a real morale boost for him.

    Snow.

Same here mate, there haven't been any gritters out - the tyre tracks have turned to ice so, it's a maximum of 20mph. I even had to use the defrost function on the car and, push the snow off this morning I really enjoyed the drive to work today

    Snow.

We've got it here this morning I'm actually looking forward to the drive to work today
  19. If you're out there long enough, your feet will always get cold - we move slow and stand still a lot when hunting - nothing will stop the cold creeping in eventually. I use rubber wellies that are issued to the railway lads and, 2 pairs of good socks - my feet stay dry in all sorts of shit but, in this weather, my toes are numb within a couple of hours.
