I really like the laminate stock and I am so careful with my guns, it would not get buggered up in the field....................................................... I would leave it at home and just look at it ? Phil

Thats about it. I know the .25 is 26 shot and I did consider getting one but the price was sooooooo high, I will stick to my two 16 shot mags. The Mk11 Impact is a cracking piece of kit and I would love to upgrade to one but it is not going to happen. Phil

I have had the Impact for over three years and from the day I first tried it on the range I fell in love with the gun in terms of shooting the Impact. It's never going to win any prizes for looks and I don't like military style rifles BUT the handling is something quite different to any other gun.......................................................try one and you will be hooked. Phil

I am a massive FX fan and prefer the Impact but as long as it's FX, you will have a cracker and the Crown would be on my wish list if I was getting a .22fac although the Wildcat is as well, just the bloody mags....... Go and spend some dosh and enjoy whatever you decide on. Phil

Don't know the rifle at all Simon but I hope you enjoy it mate. Would this be the dealer that is about 15mins from your cottage by any chance. Phil -
I don't think anyone makes a '20' like the Italians, just something in the handling. Those are the photos that remain with us dads for ever more. Phil

As the cat only has a small 8 shot mag, I would strongly suggest you buy a few extra mags. I had five mags for each of my .177 and .22 cats. One other thing is a small gun bag and one of the best is the BSA padded bags which are about £45, I have one in each of the 4 sizes and are worth every penny. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BSA-Black-Tactical-38-Carbine-Rifle-Bag-Gun-Slip-BSA-729/133215863658?epid=7006846098&hash=item1f0448c36a:g:KhwAAOSwxORdsuU7 Hope that helps Phil

NOW SOLD THANKS Phil

Well done that man. In fact your post has just given me an idea, I have one of those tower systems in the garage which will allow me to get an 11' high platform which I bought to do some pointing on the cottage and is now sat doing nothing. I will have to put some thought where to use it and make the most of some good kit, Phil

Mitch has hit the nail on the head. Recent and ongoing developments have changed the capabilities of fac air rifles in particular .22, .25 and .30 so moving into fac air is now better than it has ever been and the only company who is growing with outside developments is FX. To fully embrace these developments, it is a huge advantage to have as much fine tuning as possible which then drops in the lap of the Impact and Crown, both of which have these atributes but all at a price. I have not yet tried slugs in my Impact as I am on .25 and so not available as yet but to be honest, the set

NiteSite Wolf NV View Advert I have three NiteSite nv units which have worked well for me both as a spotter on a spare scope and of course on the rifle. This nv comes with two batteries and is my spare so not too much field work. It is in very good condition with everything working as it should. £210 posted, payment by bank transfer or paypal but MUST be gift/family so neither of us get charged. Thanks for looking. Jimmy has done some lovely work including one for me but as he said prep is king linked to the fact that the Hoppes kit is very very hard to get as Edgar Brothers had taken it off their stock list last time I looked but worth a phone call to see. Phil

Don't worry too much about reducing the power level for barn work as I found after dropping the power on my Impact, I would forget to take it back up again, I know, old fool BUT I then just left the power on my .25 at 47fpe for everything without any issues at all including inside barn roofs and on rafters when shooting the ferals, simply do not miss, use a support if needed and away you go. No Daniel, you shot the pigeon, so well done. Phil -
Looks like they are onto a winner then Mitch although early days yet but I will be most interested to see how they develop. Phil

Sorry it had to go Jimmy but knowing all your circumstances, it was a wise move really mate, other things are more important and life goes on, another rifle will come up later. Phil

Lovely gun Sean, I hope your parents will soon be married................................................................................................................................??........................? Phil
