Had a quick look Tim and that is an eye watering cost from the public charger. I will take some time and digest the info. Nice one Tim Phil

Not me, brilliant company and so very helpful. Phil

No, they are listed as 300mts range but you will not reach that far or anything like it and a stupid price tag. I have used the standard 850nan lights for about 5 years with no real issues and to be honest I rarely scare the rabbits unless they see my face which will scare them in daylight ? Phil

As some of you are well aware that I have been a strong follower of the NiteSite system despite how much Mitch hates them, they have worked well for me. Now with all this market movement towards the Pard units, it has really made me think about joining the ever increasing numbers of Pard owners. Now again as you are aware that I am an aging ole tart who has to be careful what I do with my limited dosh soooooooooo it had to be the right product. Now my buddy has two 008, one 019 and an 007 so plenty to play with. I am not so keen on the 008 to be honest but I think that is just me not g

I seriously believe there are considerable moves to produce the hydrogen fuel cell that can be used for domestic use cars but if I recall the biggest issue was the safety aspects but that is above my pay grade so no knowledge of what that entails. It does however seem a far better route to take which in turn means they never will. Phil

That is shocking. Then add the electricity cost to charge the buggers during the life of the battery...................................................maybe a 4 x 4 push bike. Phil
-
Yes I also heard about the charging situation for all these cars would create a massive shortage of electric power so a huge increase in power station/wind farm/solar/wave power/ or what the fcuk else they come up with. Perhaps stopping the closure of Sizewell may be in order as they are only about 5 years into the shut down, have it restarted and up to full strength in another five years which joking apart, could be really needed. So far I have not been able to establish just how much it costs in electric to fully charge a car, how long it takes and lastly, who owns the battery because

I have had three NONE dealings with this mob and each time it has been to follow up on adverts for guns on Gun Trader which they don't have or ever have done, in fact on one call they tried to tell me they could get the gun for me when I know for a fact that the gun was not available in the country / importer. You have had fair deals with them Mitch, forgive me mate but I don't share your faith.
-
I am sure you have Mitch and I don't doubt it, you have a higher regard than I do. Phil

Quote :- If it's ok for the world to poison the environment from the above method then it's ok for me to shoot lead! It's all bullocks! One rule for one and another for others. WELL SAID THAT MAN.. Phil

Whilst the outcome of this subject is well out of our hands, I have to totally agree with SD regarding the overall damage done by cars to life as a whole and while a plan is in place to go electric, that is such a can of worms, it is laughable. As far as I am aware, and I readily stand to be corrected BUT is there any eveidence to show that lead from shotguns is doing ANY actual harm at all. I am not saying for one moment that lead will do anyone any good but lead poisoning form shot...........................well is there. Phil

Well, despite them saying that Mitch, Sportsman must be fcuking mental for buying in this way but there again, it comes as no surprise. Perhaps they have only been able to do the deal / pricing structure they have by linking into the German stock. Still sounds like bullsh1t to me mate. I wouldn't trust them for all the tea in China, nothing seems straight forward with that outfit and I am seriously sorry they have got hold of a great brand like FX. Phil
-
Why do you assume they go through Germany Mitch, you may be right but that makes no sense at all. Why would any company sending product to the UK send via a country who will alter the guns while passing through the country then alter again when they get to the uk.

Quote;-- but when the come in they have to basically rebuild them Oh that fills me with confidence Mitch.

Hmmm makes you wonder what they do have in stock .................................................. full of bull. Phil

Our Jim don't like ratzzzz one little bit. Phil

That is one for you to work out DB but I will say I shoot mine quite a bit from the car on our largest estate and find the 600mm barrel spot on and I am not going to help here because the 700mm will still work, it is just me sticking to my saying, Short and thick does the trick, well that is what I tell my wife ? Phil
-
If I were to buy another, it would be with both 600 and 700mm barrels. Most people who have the 700mm barrels are pleased they go that route but as I have not tried one cannot really comment other than to say I have only known the 600mm barrel and that has served me well. Why would I have a 600mm barrel if I have a 700mm barrel, well on shorter range ratting, pigeon and rabbits, I like the shorter gun but with the advent of slugs, the longer barrel is a far better bet from what I have gleened. Phil

Sorry but this is just a farse, are we going to go back to the days when you could buy heavily subsidised cartridges from varoius game conservency offices and others in order to shoot woodpigeon damaging crops. I fondly remember those days but cannot see it starting again in which case retired ole tarts like me will simply not bother taking the shotgun out on live quarry (possibly clay shooting as well which would seriously p1ss me off) and stick with pellets for my fac air rifle and rimfire until of course some arseoles decide that these need to be changed as well. As a side note, las

I shoot .25 at 47fpe which is superb but whilst I have never owned a sub 12 version, I would not go that route because of the drop off in elevation over range. Without doubt a .177 is a well proven sub 12 rifle and at that power level would be my choice as it was some years ago. I wish you well with your choice. Phil

I love the GRS stocks Mitch and would have the Bifrost any day of the week but the Boyds stock was a silly price and not to be walked away from. It is a nice stock which has a good feel in the shoulder but if a GRS Berserk or Bifrost was available at silly prices, that is what I would have in a heart beat. Phil

I will be sitting in comfortable seat, not a stalking rifle and I may well pop on a lighter scope yet because that looks massive with the pard, side wheel, sun shade and rangefinder fitted. Bait up, call and wait is my intention not walking miles. Phil

You had better tell the farmer Si as they won't know who the hell the stranger is on their land. Poser ? I might have to take all my gear as we are off to Anglesey on Thursday for a few days, needless to say if these storms had been forcast when we booked, well we wouldn't have booked. Phil

Some weeks ago, I put in a variation application for a .22 wmr, .22 semi auto and a .223 but there was quite a delay with the .223 so after several conversations with the licensing dept, both my pal and myself dropped the .223 from the request with the intention of reapplying for the .223 at a later date but in the meantime they are checking out all the land / farms we have shooting rights on. So with the variation on route we started to look for a wmr which is not found on every street corner but there were still quite to be had although many were at the other end of the country and as

Check on 'Shoot Clay' forum, sales section as you can sometimes pick them up there or contact 'Browns, Lock Stock and Barrel' in Sheffield as John always had s/h chokes of various types and is well worth a call, not silly prices either. I assume it will not be too tricky to get them up to you. Phil
