My shooting partner runs our village tip and from time to time he gets some very useful stuff. Yesterday was such a day with a chap taking in a large rolled up tank netting parcel which will go onto our new perm for two permanent hides and another chap took in 6, 3 x 3'' powder coated aluminium tubes 48'' long with aluminium end caps so a new set of squirrel feeders will be produced from those. Today I got a call from Chris to say he had some more stuff. Well this one is different, he gets quite a few old springers in which he does a bit of reno on but this one is a bit odd to say the l

The connector arrived today but alas it was for the Magnum mod so that will be going back on Tuesday, hopefully I will get the right one soon. While is the shop I was playing with a s/h Wildcat Mk1 or 2 that took my fancy, if money allowed, however it had a Huggett Bellita mod fitted (same as I have) and this was super quiet so I picked up an hw100 to compare it with the hw mod, NO DIFFERENCE.............................well that surprised me after hearing the comments about the Huggett. I was not able to transfer the mod onto the HW100 to test on that gun as it had the connector for the

Me too, I was in Louth only yesterday and was thinking about this but I assume someone picked up on the post very early, never mind as we picked up another 1400acres perm so happy days. Phil

I have no idea Mitch as I have never used it, just one that seemed to turn up in my spares drawer and as it is only for use in the garden, I am not that bothered. If I am not happy with it, I will buy an HW mod so time will tell. I will send you a pm shortly mate. Phil

Some good will out there as my rfd phoned Huggett today and Andrew Huggett said he would post the connector at no charge. Good result me thinks and a big thank you to Andrew Huggett. Phil

Right boys, I am asking you lot to check in your bits and pieces drawer as I am on the scrounge. My Snowpeak / Artemis P35 is needing another mod (long story so I won't bother) and I have given most of the spare mods I had away BUT I have one of those love it or hate it mods, the Huggett which has a screw fitting that fits something but I have no idea what, Soooooo I am looking for another adaptor, either 1/2'' unf female as per the most common mods as I have an Eagle AMP-3 adaptor to fit the P35 thread and a 1/2'' male outer thread OR a Huggett fitting to P35 adaptor directly. I am not abl

On what grounds is it suggested that woodpigeon are protected, this smells like the working of the idiot Packman. Wouldn't it be interesting to establish if the bright sparts who came up with this idea were to actually talk to groups of farmers or the National union of farmers or the Country Landowners Assoc etc etc etc. I have had two calls today from farmers asking for a little help with a pigeon problem.................................................give me strength. And now for something completely different.

My wife's gun came with a mod already fitted and can be changed to whichever barrel is being used. Phil -

Those eyes are saying........................OH yes so you think you can take it off me....................grrrr, just try it.? Phil

One thing that struck me was the adjustable stock is a bit wobbly which does mean getting your face firmly set on the stock in the same position is not so easy. I think the NP02 is a better gun IMHO Phil

I must confess my wife likes to shoot DTL and its good fun but I do get a bit grumpy if I completely miss a bird however it's a good warm up before I go on the Olympic Trap layouts, now those buggers are fast. I still shoot a bit of sporting especially at John Bidwell's shooting ground, High Lodge in Suffolk when we stay there. We are booked in for a week in October and I am rally looking forward to it. Try to use 1/2 choke for your first shot and no more than 3/4 for the second, if needed, thats all I use for all my trap shooting as does my wife and she is only using 21gr cartridges, jus

Nite Site zeroing problem solved
philpot replied to LuckOrJudgement's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Perhaps some clever lad on electronics may be able to do it but why would you when the NiteSite does it anyway. I used to shoot around 1000 rats per year at our dairy farm and both my buddy and myself used NiteSite as we are always scanning those dark corners and whilst my pal has 008 and 007 units and loves them, even he would not part with his NiteSite for ratting, far far easier to have a quick sweep of the rifle at waist height than near eye system. True although I believe they have reformed the company with a slightly different name with a new range of near eye nv units, they are proberbly importing from China some 007 copy. Phil -
