  1. I had both a .177 and a .22 compact version and loved them and like Mitch wish I had not sold them. I used JSB in both, Express and Exact in .177 and RS in .22 really nice guns to shoot. I did treat myself to a laminated stock version but it was a crock of shit and had to be returned but I refused to accept it back but my pal has two plus a laminate stock and loves them. Enjoy Phil
  2. Not an issue, my wife is a keen clay shooter, it would be cheaper if she didn't shoot but I am happy that she enjoys shooting.
  3. I did have a look through one of those but it was the small lens which was not brilliant, better than nothing. I have seen on FB how a number of people buy the 6mm size but seem to change up to a larger lens model. Phil
  4. As the price of thermal is still a bit out of reach for me I am afraid but they are coming down a little.
  5. What weight are those Mitch, I thought that make was no longer made.
  6. There are two FX Impact .25 fac in Crawfords Shooting Supplies, Scunthorpe, North Lincs. They belonged to myself and my shooting partner, good condition but not aware of the price. Hope that may help. Phil
  7. I bought one of these for my wife a few years ago Mark and what a lovely little gun it was but she wanted it for garden plinking and of course I was forever filling it so it eventually went. A reg would be a benefit but the cylinder would need to be a bit bigger. Enjoy it mate. Phil
  8. When I cast my mind back many years ago, I used to buy Eley half cartridges at £12 per 1000, I know......what the hell are half carts, well a certain dealer used to buy these boxes from Eley which contained 1000 cartridges chopped off close to the top so all the lead was removed, leaving the powder and primers and in many cases the plaswad was in tact as well. My pals who also reloaded bought the boxes from me at no extra cost and I had a friend who owned a scrapyard, now this was another bonus as he quite often got a few ton of lead shot which may have been 4,5,6,7,8,9 shot and guess who got
  9. It is pretty severe to the point that many clay shooters will stop shooting competition because you are looking at £100 total cost of a 100 bird sporting when you consider travel, food. entry and cartridges. I am seriously thinking of looking at reloading again after many years of factory loads but with my wife and myself shooting and plenty of time to make the cartridges, it may now be viable again. One thing is for certain, I will be having a deep conversation with 'Clay & Game', the reloading specialists , at the Northern Shooting show. Phil
  10. I just had an email from 'Just Cartridges' stating that all cartridge prices will rise this month so I assume, rightly or wrongly, that rifle ammo will do the same as the blame is placed on component cost which to my mind must also apply to rimfire and centrefire loads. Might be worth getting a few into your stock. Phil
  11. It's unusual to have a straight stock with no pistol grip. I know I cannot shoot a straight stock on a shotgun anymore as I am so used to pistol grip with palm swells but never tried on an air rifle. Apart from your new gun, where the hell have you been hiding, it's very quiet on here Jon without you mate. By the way, try to get hold of some AA Fields in .25 as they are I think the lightest pellets, I used them all the time in my Impact and they worked really well so in a sub 12 springer, they should be spot on. Let me know if you can't get hold of any as I may still have some you could t
  12. I believe there areas where shooters are being given permission to shoot greys in forestry commision woods, only wish I knew where as we have loads of land in North Lincs owned by them. Pity that course is so fat away otherwise I would have been interested to go. My buddy and myself went on the feeders this morning, not one squirrel on either feeder so something has spooked them away. Phil
  13. I only use it for the groups not the social crap.
  14. Green is my favorite colour but the green with envy is not the shade I really like............................. two feckin hundred..................... just not fair that Mitch, so not fair.
  15. You do love those tree rats Mitch. Just been down to the feeders to top up ready for a session tomorrow morning. Phil
  16. Sorry Stan but what is your post about, might just be me mate but I don't follow. Phil
  17. The day will come when you turn round and say.......................thats it I am selling that feckin gun Phil, do you still want it..................i might just say YES. !!!! ?
  18. Look at the Kral group on facebook Jimmy, there are some fac from USA but most is sub 12 from the UK. I don't think you do FB but as far as the groups are concerned, it can be very good. Phil
  19. Eh up Jimmy, thought you might join in.
  20. The guy who has the 10g auto also has a double 8ga breach loader. He has had brass cartridge cases made and loading his own, he recons about £4.70 per cartridge. Him and his wife are goose shooters before anything else although funnily enough last year he bought a 28ga for game and using TSS shot, he is taking a great many geese with this gun to the point that his wife has used the double 8 while he has used the 28ga all season. Funny ole world.
  21. I do wish some of these clubs would allow fac air, that is a shame Dave.
  22. Maximum house points in that case Bernard. Have you ever worked out what the cost is for the loads, just curious. A friend has just bought a 10g semi auto but not been able to buy any shells yet.
  23. Don't know what you are drinking or what soap you are using Si but you look younger than ever in your avatar dear boy. ? Phil
  24. I think woodcock with any gauge is difficult but the last ones I shot were with a 28ga, cracking gun, crazy cartridge price. There again the cost of your 10ga shells must be close to a second mortgage.
