  1. Who knows Rez but take it from me that they did and always at night in mud....................? Phil
  2. I have a VW Passat with just over 200,000 miles on the clock, very comfortable, very reliable and average of 48.5 - 50mpg running around and upto 58 on a long run although I must admit I don't put my foot down nowadays as the pension has all on to keep up with fuel prices. The only downside to the Passat estate is they are very low and so not that easy to get in and out as we get older, with only 140mm ground clearance, no good for green lanes, strictly tarmac unless you get the 4x4 version but then road tax goes up and so does the fuel usage. 3. In my mind the two are not really comparable Phill as one is a bullpup and one a normal length rifle albeit slightly shorter than the 100 series. Perhaps a better comparison is the Wildcat and the 110k as they are both short rifles. I have had two Wildcats in .177 & .22 and confess they are lovely to carry and shoot with 200+ shots per fill (sorry I can't remember exactly how many) but the downside for me was the magazines which jumped out of the gun on a number of occasions plus they are only 8 shot which FX could have improved when they brought the Mk11 out. Do't get me wrong, I rea
  4. As they say in Yorkshire..........see all, hear all, say nowt. They can take the lad out of Yorkshire but they can't take Yorkshire out of the lad even though I live in Lincolnshire. Phil
  5. Hmmm not sure about that Mitch but I really do not know however the Falcons would not feed well in my Wildcat but the RS did perfectly with better groups, who knows !!! Phil
  6. Well spotted Jon. I wish I had Simon's telephone number but I no longer have it but I think our Jimmy mght because it would be a shame to miss out on that if it was of interest. I know Simon with Jimmy's help made a right hand stock into a left hooker so perhaps that does all that was needed, mind you having seen Simon sit four pellets on top of eachother with my right handed TX200 at 35mt, he doesn't really need a left hooker in my book. ? Phil
  7. Don't forget the JSB RS Jimmy which I found work really well in my Wildcat and I am using them in the HW110k. If I pop over to have a look at this wonderful gun, I will bring you a few to try. Phil
  8. I have bought a few Jimmy on ebay and all from uk sellers which arrived in a few days. Here are a couple which are saying they can deliver mid week. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rifle-weaver-rails-Picatinny-rail-for-shooting-applications-8-different-sizes/202325476562?hash=item2f1b89c4d2:m:m9T3ZujWKtW-3MMPEpv5CmQ https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Slot-Picatinny-Weaver-Rail-For-Handguard-Rail-Section-Aluminum-2-inch-UK/222902111153?epid=10017294429&hash=item33e6004bb1:g:vXoAAOSw6xJbxg3V https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Airsoft-Bipod-Sling-Swivel-Adapter-Mount-Stud-1-slot-20m
  9. We went out last night to test the Hushpower which I must say is far far better than the Adler s/b with silencer that York Guns sell which in my own mind is like chucking your money down the toilet. To the matter in hand,,,,, the Cheddite sub cartridges in 3" were pretty quiet but the pattern is a bit spacey at 25mt but at 18mt, superb. We are now needing to test some 2.5" and 2" as the range of most of the shooting will be around 15 - 20mt. Phil
  10. As an FX fan, I must say that I really don't like this bloody Dreamline effort. Pick the gun you want, buy it, shoot it...................simples. All this farting about to change the look of the gun is nothing more than kids stuff. As you may gather, I am not a fan of this particular FX venture. Phil
  11. Welcome aboard Chris. I am pleased you were able to get one for the pot on your first trip out, well done mate. You have a good rifle and a new friend or two there and with just the right amount of creeping ? Jimmy has a heart of gold and always willing to help as many on this forum will confirm. Phil
  12. we know Jimmy. ? It looks magic mate and looking forward to having a few shots. Phil
  13. Check with FX as they say you can but it only needs a tiny nip to hold in place, only a fool would clamp it up tight. Phil
  14. Just put a micrometer thingy on the Dr Bobs band and it is 1.6mm thick. Hope that helps. Phil
  15. Well pleased for you Jimmy, you need some good stuff going on in your life my friend. I use a Dr Bobs bottle band on my Impact and as the bottle is the same, should be no problem. I must say that the bottle band with a decent bi-pod is much better than the Atlas clones and as it is a little further forward, more stable in my opinion. I have switched back to using mine from the clone which is crap. As a matter of interest, I checked with ASI before I used the bottle band method and they confirmed that the Royale series of guns have used this method for years so no damage will be done to th
  16. True but you have to agree the cutting of the stock is decent. I dislike the dowels and would never consider using them. Phil
  17. This might be both easier and certainly much quicker. http://www.recoilsystems.com/combraiser.php There is also the Bear Tooth system, again fast and cheap which allows you to get the correct height. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beartooth-Comb-Raising-Kit-2-0-Shotgun-Rifle-Butt-Stock-Brown-No-Loops-Model/264314664856?epid=2256011669&hash=item3d8a61b798:g:ItQAAOSwkvFafa9L This caught my eye and represents good value, certainly the route long term I would take, in my humble opinion, dowels are just not strong enough and not too difficult to break. https://www.ebay.co.uk/
  18. It is worth trying some 4.51 but if you get a test tin of assorted JSB pellets, it comes with 4.51, 52 and 53 along with other pellets in the range. Voymir normally stock them. https://voymir.com/jsb-177/291-jsb-diabolo-exact-test-airgun-pellets-cal-177-7-x-50pcs-5906554324010.html Phil
  19. Get a fecking life Rez.......................................?
  20. Is that an Eriba caravan Mark. I have had a few vans and love em despite what people say about caravaners blocking the road although I must say that used to p1ss me off so I made sure I didn't hold anyone up if at all possible. I kept the guns under the bedding in the under bed storage, just make sure you use wheel clamps even on site as there are some cheeky barstewards about that will just hook up your van and bugger off. Enjoy your new weekend away vehicle. Have a look at this site Mark, I used to take my van and boat up there and loved it, right on the banks of Windermere. It c
  21. I think he is up near Wigan in Lancs Mitch. That isn't a 17hmr though ? Phil
  22. Some years ago, I was given a picture which has always put a smile on my face but alas, I do not know most of the people portrayed in the picture. Now guys can any of you think who they might be. The picture is called 'The Fishing Beat', 'Nine complete anglers' painted by Jedd whose real name is John Edwards and from what I can glean, he died but I don't know when. Lets see how many can be identified. I think the first on the left is an old tv character, Mr Paistry. Third from the left, Bob Nudd. Sixth from the left, John Wilson. The last one under t
  23. I would be tempted to contact a test centre or another rfd / dive centre but if a dive centre, you must say it is for surface air use not for diving. Phil
