  1. Hmmm well what I have seen on youtube Mitch, you have to strip the gun right down unless the one sold by Krale is completely different and I don't think it is. In the vid I posted, I think that is the plenum we are talking about which looks a bloody big job or at least it looks a big job to me. I am really crap mechanically and this is not what I would want to do myself.
  2. Ah ok Mitch, I was getting mixed up.
  3. Yes Mitch, this is the one I was referring to when I said £120. Phil
  4. You are doing this to tease me you bugger. I watched the video of how to fit them................................oh dear not me, I would be in a mild state of panic with bits of gun all over the bench. The price is appprox £120 to fit yourself. A cylinder type as shown here is a much easier type to fit, I am advised and I think cheaper but not looked into that as yet. Phil
  5. Thank you Si.........................................did you find your way home ok last night. ? Phil
  6. They will find out themselves but if you lie on your application, it will be regarded as trying to deceive the police which may or may not go against you. Tell them warts and all because they will get to know anyway but as I said before, if I were you, I would ask to have a chat with the firearms officer and show him what you have found out and of course showing him / her that you now have a job and will be getting married having a home...........in other words show that is your past not your current situation and hope for the best. Firearms officers can be very helpful when you approach them
  7. Glad I asked Si because I was never going to come up with that explanation mate. Phil
  8. Si.................what is your avatar, I keep meaning to ask. I have looked at it so many times but cannot work it out. Phil
  9. C S Custom Stocks might have what you want so worth a look. https://www.customstock.co.uk/customshop/ Phil
  10. Thank you Jon for your thoughts mate and to you Jimmy for those kind words my friend. Not quite witching hour just yet but nevertheless I will take this opportunity to wish all my friends on here the very best for the new year .................................... tomorrow you can wish me happy birthday, 21 again...................................................ok, 68 but I look much younger (not a word Si). Have a great night tonight gentlemen and any ladies present. Phil
  11. I totally agree with Rabid. Get all the information relating to your situation then talk to your firearms officer before appliying but hide nothing as they will find out for themselves very easily. Phil
  12. Yes saw this earlier but I am pretty happy with my Impact in all honesty. The spending never stops in getting the latest whizz bang which is fine but not for me. Phil
  13. Tooooo late Si, I have already told Trish this is your idea ? You watch, she will have a go as and when I get one.........................................and she will shoot well, then want one for herself, hmmm better get one put on her ticket as well...? Phil
  14. SD, you might find this to be ideal for your auto, I use this dry lube in both mine and my pals semi auto shotguns as there is no sticky oil / grease to hold excess powder. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K2-PTFE-Dry-Lubricant-Clear-Teflon-Grease-Spray-NO-SILICONE-Long-Protection/332555554828?epid=1650062920&hash=item4d6ddb100c:g:Q58AAOSwzb5drtjm Phil
  15. Only got one sub 12 , my HW110k but I am toying with selling it because it was bought for a particular council perm that didn't come off so it never gets used and Si has me interested in a centre fire, Hornet / ,223 / .224.......................................hmmm or just go full thrust with a 6.5x55 ? I totally agree with Si, the Impact just keeps on doing the job faultlessly. Phil
  16. Forgive my ignorance SD as I don't shoot foxes but with .22 subs, where is your aim point. Phil
  17. The rfd I bought the Tikka from advised me that whilst they have stock of the Wave mods, they were going back as the build quality was not so good and some returned to them in bits as they were not up to the job. I obviously didn't buy it although this was .22lr and .17hmr where the issues had happened. Sub 12 is of course a different matter but I can only repeat what I was advised with no actual experience of them. Phil
  18. He is a big lad SD, well done and the perm looks interesting. Phil
  19. So nice to walk off the excess xmas food, my turn tomorrow night with a couple of hours sea fishing in the morning. Nice result Stav. Phil
  20. Your Sako has a really nice stock Si but I totally understand the reason for the change over, I might have to talk to you regarding price from your man. I have seen a couple of the Boyds stocks Mitch but I would not put them in the same league as GRS stocks in terms grip diameter, adjustment and real feel of the grip, big difference but you pays your money and take your choice. Phil
  21. Here is the dealer list for the UK Mitch. https://www.grsriflestocks.com/dealers
