  1. ive had a fair share of hard digs but rarely have they gone deeper than 6 ft. the average around me would be between 3/4 ft. only twice in my lifetime have i had to step a hole and i could count on one hand the times i have had to dig deeper than my hight, most of the deeper holes here are in bankings. these are generally the easy bolts if done right. and i do prefare to bolt . even from the famous scottish two footers

  9. there are a lot of old farm dumps around us. they hold well. some are good for a quick bolt. especially once the dog is familiar with the place. we have had to dig under old cars broken glass tin sheets all mixed in with straw bales poly bags etc. i have a clear memory of getting to a russell that was baying away in the folded tin sheets. they where at a fairly steep slope and she was in constant reverse gear at a steady pace trying to keep herself out of harms reach. reminded me of a treadmill. had one under a tin bath. when i was young and foolish i hauled the dog out caused a nasty rip to h

  17. my daughter takes seizures. one of my terriers woke me up in the middle of the night with persistant barking. she was upside down and was choking. he saved her life without a doubt, however i would not like to leave her alone with any dog, you cant second guess what they will do.
