  1. Lee RHD is Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease put it in to Google comes up with loads on it. There a few different ones VHD.RHD and RHD2 . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit_haemorrhagic_disease Cheers Arry
  2. Monitor it mate I had the same on one perm, there were loads of live rabbits running around but about ten dead ones here and there. I thought it might be some body shooting them with an air gun and just leaving them but no such luck they were gone a few weeks later. It's very contagious though I washed all the gear down wellies even the car tyres and I've not had it on any other perm's yet fingers crossed Cheers Arry.
  3. As The One says sounds like RHD its very contagious so if you have other permissions you might want to disinfect your gear. I don't want to teach you how to suck eggs but you just may not have thought about it. It also lives a long time in the ground. The rats are probably feeding on dead rabbits under ground. Hope its not RHD its cleared out some areas near me. Cheers Arry
  4. Recon you might have to keep a eye out there Micheala. Good you got locks on the run. Good luck with them. Cheers Arry
  5. What bolted Gollum a Hobbit A Troll and what size mesh. Cheers Arry
  6. I've no time for them as they threatened me with prosecution for shooting Crows and Rooks while standing on a Badgers set. Apparently I was disturbing Badgers. They then asked what i did with the dead birds" I left them there for the Badgers" which I was told Badgers won't eat Crows or Rooks. Cheers Arry
  7. Teach you to look after them a bit better then wont it . Bit harsh that Micky. I think he knows that and he's kicking himself. Every body makes a mistake some times. Cheers Arry
  8. Nice one I'd not seen it. Bloody fast rabbit that one deserved to get away. Cheers Arry
  9. Well done mate, nothing wrong with 9. Cheers Arry
  10. Each to there own mate. I've kept ferrets for over fifty years and never had a limb trapped in the mesh in all that time. Their kept clean dry warm out for a run every day and fed well thats the main thing. Cheers Arry
  11. I use 1'x1" weld mesh heaver the better, as I mentioned like the bottom of a super market trolly. Cheers Arry
  12. I use the same method a wire strip at the end which lets the crap drop through to a seed tray full of sand or saw dust peat etc. But it needs to be strong weld mesh or cut the bottom from of a supper market trolly, the ferret seem to know what to do and the rest of the area says clean. Cheers Arry
  13. Bloody hell mate I got four done last year for £25 although I did think they cocked up as the year before they charged £25 for two. Maybe get a few of your mates together and take a load in to spead the cost. I usually leave mine in season for a couple of months try to get close to June before having them given the jab and hope they don't come back into season. Cheers Arry
  14. About a month ago we had seven out of seven so tried a different permission about four mile away and there were none, seems strange some times some areas a head of others. Theres no difference in height, went some where today there were half grown ones running across the lane before we started. So thats the end on that permission. Will try again where there was none, there were good numbers there and the guy wants them gone. But the season nearly over. Cheers Arry
  15. Nice bit of ground that, well done. Cheers Arry
  16. In the first week of March 2017 Australia will release RHDV1 K5. I wonder how long before some greedy farmer smuggles it into this country. Being colder and damper in this country the diseased will thrive I fear it will be all over for us. I think i'm right in saying that its not even species locked so they could be playing with fire. Bloody madness. Cheers Arry
  17. Never got round to doing it myself, but my father told me how him his brother and two sisters used to go poaching on some steep ground with open ground burrows on it. How they would grease all the hinges on the gates with lard in the day time then sneak up after dark ( probably ordered to do it by his father he was a miserable old bxxger ). Always told me they did well though but then that was before mixy. Cheers Arry
  18. Could be young mate, on one permission we a few but young every where. Yet on a different permission about four miles from that one no young at all. Still well done for just getting out there. Cheers Arry
  19. Rabbits are colour blind but they can see the difference between light and dark colours. When theres more than one rabbit in a burrow often a rabbit will sit just behind the net or paw at the net, if you move then their back down we have all seen that. So I think its best if its clothing that is dark or camo or colours that blend in and as The One says tough with loads of pockets. How ever a high vis vest is useful on public highway lanes that used by traffic and we do a few, but it goes on over a camo jacket for the person in the road. Each to are own though but i'll keep using what i know wo
  20. Good result well done. Good on you Micheala for just being out there with Stoggy on a day like that and getting a few, wild horses would not get my Mrs out there, actually wouldn't get her out there on a fine day. Cheers Arry
  21. Belting. Enjoyed that, thanks for publishing. Well done keep them coming. Nice little ferret mate. Cheers Arry
  22. Been doing good lately apart from when they would not bolt the other day. Rough as a dockers wanger last week okay now. Hope you get them pasties right you will be hooked, practice the crimping. Lol Cheers Arry
  23. Nice write up mate. You've got it mate you used your instinct you new those large holes weren't right as Jok said sounds like Badgers. Try putting the collar on when she's not being worked leave her in her run with it on. As Tomo said try the collar close to her shoulders. Well done and happy hunting. Cheers Arry
  24. Colin met up with bob merrin and he gave colin some nets plus the multi coloured one lol we did have 3 rabbits in it though Love it mate nobody can nick that one by mistake. Recon it was made up to give you all a laugh. Cheers Arry
