  1. I find this site very useful. http://www.ferret-universe.com/health/other.asp Cheers Arry
  2. Young in most of them today some ready to drop , small stingers still around and hedge rows are sprouting. Bumped into some mates while out today they reckoned they bolted young last week. Think farmers will be growing rice next year and rabbits will have webbed feet. Cheers Arry
  3. Well done lads good score. We don't get numbers like that. Cheers Arry
  4. This is mental !!!! Looks like this is not attack but attempted murder and should be treated as so. Best wishes to Andy and family speedy recovery. Cheers Arry
  5. We use electric fence posts that cost about £2.00 if you buy 10. Straight posts nothing to catch. http://www.flytesofancy.co.uk/chickenhouses/PVC_Plastic_Post.html They have a nice clip top if you are not using quick set and set poles at a angle. If you put electrical grommets on the poles you could easy make them quick set poles. Cheers Arry.
  6. That brings back so many memoirs ferrets coming down by train. Go for one from working lines better chance of a good one. Cheers Arry
  7. Maybe I won't go for a MK3 and two collars after all. What a deal !!! Cheers Arry
  8. Thank for that I will have a look. Cheers Arry
  9. Darbo. That looks good what make is that one mate? Does it have the back pockets as well that would take a few 8 meter stop nets? Cheers Arry
  10. Nice pic's mate love them sort of days. Didn't realise at first, thought it looks like Devon, other side of the moor I recon. Cheers Arry
  11. Thanks for that just been looking at those very one's. Think might drop a few hints for christmas. Cheers Arry
  12. I've been looking at Falconry vests or Gun dog dummy vests, my ferreting mate saw a guy wearing a waistcoat with big pockets on youtube (last day of the season). Do any of you guys use them? and above all are they any good? Cheers Arry
  13. The size of the timmers are 100R and 1M. 1M are readily available and cheap http://cpc.farnell.com/te-connectivity-citec/cb10lh105m/trimmer-side-adjust-1m/dp/RE04308 100R are harder to find and dearer http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-X-TE-CONNECTIVITY-CITEC-CB10LH101M-TRIMMER-SIDE-ADJUST-100R-/390614564816?hash=item5af2713fd0:g:6yIAAMXQL99Sa73w Thanks for that I should have got back on that managed to get 2 of each from ( Mallinson Electrical, Huddersfield ). 2 of each and shipping came to £4.67. The 100ohm one was gone i replaced it and its working now. But thanks again for gettin
  14. I think they are 50k ohms which = 50000ohms And the if B5K (which is printed on the replacements I bought and I know they work) means 5K ohms = 5000ohms. K = 1000 B5K is all I had to go on and I can't find any think on line with those numbers. I'm no expert though but I've fitted 3 in different boxes they all work now. Cheers Arry
  15. Not sure if those are the right value. I bought a few off ebay though on the ferret finder page, Fitted a few now and they do work. Some times its worth cleaning that switch by take the yellow disc carefully off ( which is under there wheel )and use a cotton bud and some electrical cleaning fluid or some mentholated spirt might do it. If you are getting a lot of interference its usually that switch. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferret-Finder-on-off-depth-switch-Deben-Terrier-Locator-/252130739923 On those it has B5K written on them which probably means 5K ohms = 5000 ohms I think,
  16. Maxwell. Found this site. http://www.shokaifareast.com/Products/Pots/Thumbwheel/knobs.htm Its got what looks like the right thumb wheel, the one marked 12276-5. Not UK though. Cheers Arry
  17. I went to the farmers outlet so many wellies got more confused than i was before sizes varied up to 2 sizes ether way. Tried loads different makes in the end I settled for a pair of Barbour's they were the best fit for me. There rubber not neoprene so fingers crossed lets hope they last. No good if you have big calves they are snug fit. Cheers Arry.
  18. Yea thanks somebody else told me that going to drive out to a farmer outlet and have a look a Bekina wells. look like they got a good tread on them. http://www.molevalleyfarmers.com/mvf/info/news/bekina-steplite-x-review Cheers Arry
  19. you can buy them on ebay about £7.50 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferret-Finder-on-off-depth-switch-Deben-Terrier-Locator-/252130739923 But not the wheel. Cheers Arry
  20. Anybody tried V12 boots? been looking at the clothing post on this site and other places for no frills tough black or green wellies. i don't care if they don't look good just do the job. Its confusing does not seem to be a consensus on which is best. Thought I might try cheap jack pikes or Dunlop as I've had hunters and others but most seem a rip off now and no where as good as they used to be. cheers Arry
  21. Guys What do you think are the best wellies for the money? I don't really want to go for £100 posh jobs. Jack pike and wetlands both do some reasonable priced ones but are they any good. Cheers Arry
  22. The Link did not work from the post but copy and paste will work. Cheers Arry.
  23. Looks like you can get them from this site http://www.ba-bolts.co.uk/steelrnd.html supplies model engineers. Sorry its not a link not sure how to do that, but copy and paste the address into google think that will do the same thing. I think the screw was 17p Cheers Arry
  24. The little screw is 10ba thread mostly used in electrical gear. Cheer Arry
