  2. Did have to cut in bloody black thorn when two bolted the other day, but seems to happening more and more over the last couple of years. As for noise I know what you mean I use to get a slap round my ear from father if I even talked. Cheers Arry
  3. Lads just wondered if your getting rabbits bolting before the ferret are put to ground, it seems to be happening more often. Before two years ago I had only had it happen a few times, but this year we have had it about six or seven times, tilling a hedge few days ago one bolted into a net right next to me five minutes later my mate had the same. Carried on put the ferrets to ground got few more , no weasel or stoat. Its puzzling us and we have a fare few years behind us now. Cheers Arry

  5. Fracko. Multi-Vitamin Malt Paste made by beaphar comes in a tube like tooth paste. Surpose to be good for their coat and anti-hairball etc. They probably don't really need it but I like to spoil them these days. Cheaper to buy it on line. Cheers Arry
  6. I feed meat in a run on the lawn mornings and then a small bowl of Wellbelove or Alpha in the hutch, also a dap of malt paste. Cheers Arry
  7. Nice ground still jealous as hell, all I seem to be getting at the moment is cutting in on black thorn, brambles and stingers. The wire fence always a problem when single handed. I know what you mean when you say nice just to be out there regardless of the score, also like the way you call you ferret. Cheers Arry

  11. Yea man made like mixy VHD was man made and comes from China. I've been asked by farmers in the past to get them a mixy rabbit ( of course I refused ) but sure moving it around does happen. Went for a walk on some ground where I ferreted as a kid the other day, it was so dead not one dingle berry any where. Cheers Arry
  12. Got a bad feeling this year RHD2 and Mixy about and spreading lads reporting low numbers. Farmers reporting picking up 10 or 20 dead rabbits. Getting some but down on last year, we don't get big numbers. We averaged about 10 a trip last year this year 5 or 6 not looking good. Cheers Arry
  13. I use Faithful all metal drainage shovel, has a long blade about 400mm. Its cheaper than the Greenman on amazon. Also have one of those small Roughneck shovels if we are going light. Cheers Arry
  14. The cap on the 15 foot is longer so it can take 2 batteries. Some 8 Foot collars are small called micro's. The one that takes the larger battery has a cap that is the same as a cap of a coax aerial connector. Cheers Arry
  15. I think I'm right in saying that the MK1 fifteen foot collar takes 2 batteries AG5, there are a few different MK1 eight foot collars they take 1 battery some take AG5 but I have a eight foot collar that takes a larger battery V357. The MK1 grey boxes are the same apart from the sticker on the depth wheel. Hope this is some help. Cheers Arry

  20. If you can de solder the speaker first it makes it easier . You can get stuff call solder wick which is copper braid you place this next to the switch leg on the opposite side of board to the switch put your soldering iron on top of the wick this should draw the solder out of the hole, one by one. If no solder wick you could cut each leg as high as you can then hold the very top where you cut with small nose point pliers hold soldering iron on the leg other side and as you heat pull gently. You have to try and clear the holes of solder may be some striped electrical flex with some flux on it
  21. Their playing with fire, lets hope nobody gets burned. It will only take one case of jumping the divide that could start a pandemic in humans. As Sirblessed said in a earlier post on RHD2 "Its all out Money". Cheers Arry
  22. Thought i would past this on if its any help as I had never had this problem before . Last week we were going to give the ferrets a run in some ground burrows so got the knocker box and collars put new batteries in both and checked them, two collars were 15' but could only reading at about 6' or 7'. So tried another box, still the same looked at the collars copper pin was clean bottom inside cap was bright. Then noticed the threads had a grey dusty dirt in them so cleaned with a brass sued brush and inside the cap both came back to 15' straight away. Two collars reading wrong with the same p
