How can you lads say about minimum 5 hard seasons n all that ? Nothing is set in stone you give your dogs enough you know if they got it or not its that simple.i know dogs that at 3/4 year old want retiring because theyve had so much hammer. Id rather buy a pup off some of the youngsters about getting out there and filling the boot then some of the old timers that live off days gone by. Same with seeing parents run not allways possible nowadays is it. You ask ten people with young dogs did they see either parents go out i bet most give the same answer if there honest.

Plenty people peddling lurchers thing is i been the young keen person took in by the spiel n a year later after putting the best of food and time into a dog it isnt worth a rub cant see the sense in people wanting to breed there own lurchers so much theres enough shite about as it is. These old sites can turn average dogs into internet legendd with a good picture or two also.

If it wasnt for the shooting countryside wouldnt be as good for the average lurcher/terrier man. Its not something id pay to do but i hope it never dies out also.

Because if you put a racy labrador to a grey or lurcher what are you actually gonna add structure wise ? Id use a bigger type and hope for a pup with abit of substance if you need speed you aint gonna be trying this cross in the first place are ya same with collies and greys it makes sense using a proper collie type rathe r than a racy one then younend up with scatty collie coloured greyhounds lol

Thing i found when feeding alot of beef it would make the dogs run hot they seemed to tire quicker and get hotter quicker. Good varied diet and what else can you do ?

I was going to buy a garmin or sportdog set but the thing that put me off is im not sure i want the map facilities just a compass would do me fine.

And i think one thing most trackers are lacking is a button of some sort on the colksr so the handset mskes a noise or flashes. Had an awkward situation the other day dog away on gear n tracker had fallen out me pocket in some cover.

Are you the salesmen lol ? Because the feller that sold me mine sounded very similar ? like i say wouldnt be without it now paid for itself many times over but id like it to let me know when a dog stops moving for any amount of time.

I use a dogtrace. Cant work out how to use half the stuff on it lol i just use it to point to my dog so far has never let me down but has had the odd funny reading now and then isnt properly on point either but its paid for itself a good few times over.

No matter what id allways think if my jack of all trades hunting dog needed supplements before running by that i mean things that dont help with recovery i wouldnt keep the dog.ive seen some dog given hellish stick and fed nothing more than wag and odd bit of cheap chicken or beef mince.

nothing smart about it its fact lol i dont bother with these expensive wormers myself chunk of pipe tobacco every other month and a rabbit pelt now and again never know might have a splash out soon n get some drontal. if anyone says about dog looking lean i just blame that saluki blood ? out of interest why dont you freeze the venison but everything else then ?

Just because u aint seeing them doesnt mean they aint there. You feed fresh rabbit hare deer your dogs will get worms.

Do youse feeding fresh game not find it wormy as f**k ? I can feed my dogs as much venison as they can eat but cant say fresh they look well on it without plenty other stuff in the diet.
