  1. Very good post that katchum and exactly why youll never see me advertising a litter of lurchers even if i did breed. Im pretty confident that somewhere out there theres allways a chancier litter than what i could ever put together myself. Like yourself ill put up with certain faults or traits but only until something better comes along. And you only find better by pushing and testing until your atleast 90% happy with what ya got there will allways be abit of disappointment in dogs but its worth it when youve got an animal you can trust in for me it is anyway.
  2. So a line if dogs bred down but put to an unrelated bitch each time isnt a line of sorts ? I know you know a thing or two about breeding bill so genuine qestion ?
  3. Lovely type that is poxon looks fast i fancy something similar next ??
  4. Aye that makes sense but myself ive never seen anything bad from inbreeding a family of animals seen ferrets and chickens very closely related and where good at there jobs.
  5. I agree with the two posts above but i sometimes ask myswlf why get/use dogs from the other end of the country when surely it makes more sense to use what is successful locally ?
  6. This is what i own. Wouldnt say im hundred oercent happy but ive seen and owned far worse.
  7. I reckon these days theres line bred and inbred lines big difference in the two i think for most people.
  8. I dont think it would effect what sort of animal i kept. A good dog can do it all.
  9. Smashing pictures id love to have ago on the bass ! Maybe one day. I know a way to catch jack pike on bread on clear streams i never have much luck with it but seen others get a few.
  10. As already said seen a few in mornings and evenings around summertime especially when stubbles first cut seen a real young one the other day on a grass field.
  11. That feathered bitch aint a pure is it ?
  12. ive found golf courses as dangerous as anything at night. All them bumps and dips with hidden little ditches and that. Especially with these tight little led lamps alot of lads use these days.
  13. Smashing stuff thats what its all about cracking pictures to look back on ??
  14. If looks could kill thats the sort of coursing dogs i like strong healthy no spine sticking out puts me in mind of some of that buddy dogs offspring.
  15. Should see state of some of the fields here then pal
  16. I do like to see a nice retriever. Cracking stuff ??
  17. But what comes with the money side also is alot of bullshit and over hyped dpgs that only a few see run for a season or 2 then they disapear.ive tried a few coursing dogs and seen a hell of alot id only give kennel space to a small handfull ive seen when thing get popular or expensive the overall quality goes downhill.
  18. Not disagreeing with you that theres alot of shit about but how do you work out most of them are ? Not a dig or owt genuinly interested. Theres dogs that have took everything the british isles has to offer everyone is in contact now we can look for the best blood to add to our dogs find out about differrnt qaurry to test the dogs on and listen to other genuine dogmen and learn bits from there mistakes. Ok so it might be abit harder to test a dog properly at certain disciplines but you can its just abit more hassle.youd think lurchermen would be movingforwards not backwards over the years
  19. Im no expert and my dogs are pretty shit but i think it depends on your hunting whether you feed before hand or not.
  20. I think most supplements work the same way lol
  21. Could be wrong but in the last video it looks to be holding its tail abitnwierd also ? Might be worth popping to a good running dog vet.
  22. Whenever theres a cut the second night is allways better than the first even better if theres rain.
  23. Anyone use turmeric as a supplement?
