I just think the thread got out of control. mC had just said cleaning a dogs nails with a brush can cause infection , I think the opposite, cleaning a dogs nails in warm soapy water or a dilution of some disinfectant or antiseptic with a soft tooth brush, in my mind, helps to PREVENT infection.
