Did your dog recover from this? My 3 year old lurcher done exactly the same injury last week. Been doing 3 days on 3 days off bone radiol. He’s had a weeks course of metacam and been in mag box 1 hour a day full power. I think the swelling has gone down a little bit but still big and rock hard. Lead rest and he’s showing no pain at all he wants to be bouncing around. Just wanting to know how much time off and did the dog fully recover?

My misses had a little strop on when I saw a melonistic black rabbit on the road and stopped to pick it up we were going somewhere nice in a bit of tidy only wanted the pelt lol

Today I have sold my Impact .25 fac and my Tikka .22lr is in the rfd for sale so it is now back to sub 12 for me. To be honest, I cannot be bothered with the hassle of an fac ticket and as I am now almost 74, I am not that keen on night time forrays in the cold on my own for the most part so just got one NiteSite left to sell and I am done. Attention now looking at a suitable .177 as my hunting gun but no prepared to buy another top price gun and will be keeping an eye out for an HW110k as I love those guns, nice and light and a tac driver but I remain open minded on the subject of the next g

I know an old lad that lost the end of 2 fingers to a sheet that slipped down the wall as we was sorting the bottom sheet, I also dropped a tek gun on his head from 2 lifts up, (old fashioned big heavy gun) put him on his knees, I was pretty young 21 maybe, he was in his late forties then.. f**k he kicked off... I couldn't breathe for laughing. When we first started on the steels we walked the lot, up over the rafters etc, no machines (lots on farm jobs) looking back we were mad to do it, no nets under the roofs which is compulsory now, the first job I ever had nets on was a massive unit
-
@NEWKID This is the hangers mate, enormous !
-
Amazing ! Lol Funny enough I also had a job as a kid doing the cladding on two massive old Zepplin hangers in Bedford….but that was all scaffold and standing on the roof of that didn’t bother me at all……other than they used to do explosive testing in them and it took ages to climb down, wait for them to set off the explosion and then climb all the way back up again. I had a very near miss on that job, was tec screwing sheets to the side about halfway down, heard a noise above me and quickly pulled my arms back to my sides as a sheet of Steel came down like a guillotine. Never se

Comes with the territory in our game, but I'll be honest and say over the last few years I think a load more about heights than I ever did, getting older I suppose. Been up in all sorts from man baskets on the end of crane (with a twat of an old steel erctor swinging it when we were 100ft in the air for a laugh, not funny) , to the biggest mobile cherry picker you can drive yourself, we needed it to go out and over a building not for the height but the reach.. but being younger me and my brother thought we'd take it in the middle of the car park and take it to the top height (think it was

Have you got someone you can go out with thats got a dog doing the buisness? It wouldn't hurt to go out for a few runs with your pup watching on the lead and give them individual slips as sometime as the thought of another dog being there encourages them to pick a rabbit up just simply because they want it first. Soon has the pups caught a rabbit take it on its own from then on. Although the thought of healthy competition can be good to encourage the catch having a second dog there can knacker the retrieve. Also it helps if you get yourself into a position where the rabbits ar
