When did it become a 'war'? Its a 'special operation' ( an assault ) about the control of global oil supplies. In the same way Maduro's kidnap is about which countries benefit from Venezuela's oil. One thing is for sure. China is over a barrel ( pun intended) in regard to its future oil supplies. And Cuba, as we know it, will cease to exist as, on Trump's orders, their supply of Venezuela's oil has dried up. America's hawkish movers and shakers are making the most of Trump's presidency and reconfiguring the world as they see fit.

Bit like them in world war yanks refused then came at the end to take credit starmer is a wet wipe but trump sayin wars already won then carrying on bombin isn't a great look either

For me I think it was the hunting instinct that never goes away. Being able to outwit the target quarry whether it be animal, bird or fish. Probably started by catching birds with a garden sieve a stick and a piece of string out the back window, then letting them go (getting a bollocking from father if found out). Snaring rats or using an old gin that ran along the bottom of the fence at the bottom of the garden where the neighbour keep an aviary of budgies. Or throwing a slice of Mothers Pride like a frisbee on to the house roof and sitting in the old hen house with my BSA Meteor and tw

It wasn't long ago that Trump was critical of the UK's operations in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He later apologised when he was informed of the number of men we had lost. Meanwhile Tony Bliar believes we should have joined the attack on Iran immediately. Does he ever reflect on his mistakes from the past? Apparently not. Personally, on this occasion, I think Starmer has acted correctly. He's not daft, he knows the legal basis for the war has not been established, so he's keeping the UK's war hands squeaky clean. We should avoid any losses of our troops at all costs. If ther

When the west overthrow Gaddafi and the west started the civil war in Syria , the results were vast numbers of people from north Africa and sub-saharan Africa made there way to Europe . If Israel is successful in destroying Iran as a functional country , then there will be millions of people heading to Europe .

It’s a bit presumptuous that our carrier is going to the Middle East to help the yanks. But then I doubt any of his posts are run by his national security advisor or ambassador. He’s just lashing out because he’s upset with Starmer over the bases and Chagos. He's still in the honeymoon period with their ‘war that’s not a war’. It’s the bit the yanks do well. The lasting change that they are historically bad at and come to bite them hard. If they don’t achieve effective regime change then all they will have done is stirred the hornets nest once again. Short term they may have d

I’d just like to be able to choose like I was as a youngster and not thought of as odd for doing what every male should be capable of doing simply putting food on the table and I’d love the fur trade to start again as we just took it for granted when young

Best of luck with the pup Black Neck, sorry to hear you lost a dog at the back end of last year, absolutely gutted wrenching to lose one of the team. Likewise regarding going out without one of your own dogs,an odd day or two is fine,it can be enjoyable but it's always good to be out amongst a bit of action with one from your own team that's for sure bud.

I hear you bud, regarding river crossings I've had to cut short many a trip out due to the same thing, far too dangerous to even attempt crossing some of them for fear of getting swept off your feet. I think the whole country even the likes of Cornwall etc has had way more rain this winter than previous years,it's been testing in more ways than one that's for sure. It was -5c here this morning & the sun's out now but apparently we are getting rain from 6pm,I've never known the weather on a daily basis go from one extreme to another & it's been like that all winter. Hopefully we get a de

Even if there was 30 Cameronite Tories.....you still need 200 new MPs and a 1000 new councillors. To get them up there, trained, tested, the unsuitable ones weeded out you need to actually win, to be funded and guided. It doesn't just happen on the back of tweets and social media posts. We still have to get the European court of human rights out of our hair and loads of laws repealed....all without the 'markets' crashing the economy and doubling people's mortgages. Gnasher laughed when I once called Tommy Robinson and the edl nationalist.....but he did value the group patriotic alternati

Been a very season poor for me. A lot of my lamping ground has pretty much been under water for weeks on end. Ground that wasn’t was knee deep in mud. Just as it’s cleared we’ve had this mist hanging around so can’t see more than 10 meters down the beam. Had a couple of decent days on Dartmoor even though it was raining. Same when I’ve travelled up to North Wales. Had a couple of sunny mornings where we have been out. Main problem we found was finding places to safely cross the rivers. I suppose that’s hunting in the UK for you!

How have people fared this past season weather-wise? Where I reside it's been so wet & still is it's been quite unbelievable really even though I live in what is one of the wettest places places in the UK anyway..in past years we've had serious flooding, bridges, roads swept away etc but just for relentless, prolonged rain I've never known anything like it in my 60 year's of living here, from September 1st 2025 until now March 8th 2026 I don't believe we've had 15-20 day's max where it hasn't rained,it's been incessant to the point of driving one up the fecking wall..anyone who owns a runnin

Absolutely love being out on the mountains,I'm not going to lie I am much slower at getting up there these day's than in previous years but still we get there in the end, just means starting out hiking up there a half hour or so earlier in the darkness under the light of a head torch..hare & the tortoise comes to mind

Day time roe with a decent lurcher and bushing for muntjac to lurchers. As for hunting in a different country would love to have seen hunting the black bear with hounds probably down to watching the Yearling film as a youngster.
