  1. Guys doing 16 targets/rounds in 20 seconds! Better get another 1000 rounds before next time ;-) Defo going again, loved it!
  2. Had my first go at Practical Shotgun this morning with Maidstone Pistol Club. Great day and I`m hooked ;-)
  3. `If your with him and it's his gun, his licence then your fine for the shotgun` This is a vague answer as we don't know the reason for the conviction, I have a family member who has a firearms conviction. He is banned for life from handling any gun including an air rifle.
  4. I cant find anything regarding if the custodial sentence is suspended? So on the face of it I`d say you are prohibited for a period of 5 years from the date you are released or your suspended sentence is served? In your case 7 years? You need to check with the courts and your local FLO as the type of sentence may also have a bearing?
  5. You don't say what type of gun? Air Rifle, Shotgun, FAC Rifle? You also don't say what type of criminal record or from when or if it was custodial? If you have received a custodial sentence of 3 months but less than 3 years then you are prohibited for a period of 5 years from the date you are released. If you have received a custodial sentence of 3 years or more then you are prohibited for life, from the date of release.
  6. A friend keeps them, very dangerous! One of the worst breeds! L@@k at the stats, http://lifestyle9.org/top-10-most-dangerous-dog-breeds-that-you-should-stay-away-from/ Yes the pitbull kills more but look at the % of dog population 0.05!!!
  7. First Clay, boom!, Second Clay, click! Arrrrrrr.......broken firing pin :-( Tried with the trusted SBS but with different cartridges and having not been used for over 12 months my score was rather low! Well, went for a rabbit shoot after all, at least the .22lr was a fun outing! ;-)
  8. With no `live` shooting over the festive season I,ve decided to pop to Abbey Clay Ground @ Detling tomorrow and off for a Practical Shotgun shoot on the 2nd ;-) Lets hope the lovely weather holds out.
  9. My Cat did this early this year. I was told it was not getting enough nutrients from its diet. I had it checked out at it was stomach cancer. We lost a loved friend this year :-( Always get an animal's erratic behavior looked into by a vet.
  10. The minimum I carry is a pair of surgical gloves self closing bandage and a silver blanket for shock. The bandages are great, £1.50 from Wilko`s, they have latex in them are self seal and are reusable. Great for sprains as well ;-) http://www.wilko.com/first-aid/wilko-blue-cohesive-bandage/invt/0348502 Full First Aid Kit in the 4x4 and car as I`m a First Aider.
  11. Never used a `red` but I do use a `green` laser for this purpose. I use an attachment to fit the laser to my scope which has up & down adjustment as on a scope. If I set it to my `zero` of 30 yards and the dot is smack on I know I`m at 30 yards. Its quick to tell if a Rabbit is out of range. I've only used it for my HW100s.
  12. I don't understand the question? As the HW100s is a super accurate air rifle, but has no `iron sights` and only take a scope which is not supplied so would make this an awful rifle accuracy wise straight from the box. What do you mean `most accurate .22 rifle straight from the box` ??
  13. If you look at the names of those who commented on the Facebook post % have foreign names. To be honest, the photo also looks rather old!
  14. HW100k or HW100kt or HW100s or HW100t in .177
  15. I love Countryway of West Malling ;-) I'm always there buying something! Once I walked in for a tin of pellets and came away with my HW100s
  16. I did think of it but my Anschutz 1417 loves Eley Subs so cant see any reason to try other ammo!
  17. It would have helped me when my FLO left .22 FAC Air and .22 Moderator off of my FAC! It was agreed with my .25 but left off my nice new FAC. I had a FAC .22 at the shop waiting but was unable to collect! Now had this been on my SGC..................;-)
  18. So, as the title says, what are your thoughts on Air guns being on a SGC? Now before you all shout my reasoning is when I began to shoot back in the 80s, the best I could afford was a BSA Meteor running at 8ft lb if I was lucky, accurate at 20 yards at best and being a springier took ages to get a tin of 500 pellet through it. Fast forward to today, with no `test` no `licence` and nowhere to shoot I can buy/own a HW100s 14 shot 11.7ft lb super accurate PCP. Do the two compare? Should a modern PCP be able to be used as a plinker in a small back garden? What I would like to see is a sub 80ft
  19. I have a 10 gun vault. My FLO wrote down `secure for 15` and said I was okay to store 15. I`ve a friend who's a 24 gun vault, i guess he`s allowed 30?
  20. Back in 1983 my boss always said `you'll never have a good a boos as me` Well one bottle of wine, one bottle of spirits of your choice, a joint of beef, a family size turkey, several beers and boxes of chocolate was what i received every year. Plus we were all taken out for a pub Xmas meal with an open bar. He was right, `I've never had such a good boss!
