  1. Using me for my whippet - I knew it! It's ok, I don't mind trading him for cakes mine normally find something far more smelly than mud to roll in After Stella took her rabbit swimming they all pitched in and had a do with it - made a right mess. It sunk to the bottom of the puddle so I left it ... I reckon it'll be nice and smelly for next week's mooch and they'll all have a roll and end up in my car stinking of dead thing
  2. I have a friend who only just started walking with me recently - until now she's been a canal and park only kind of girl. I explained to her about cows the other week - she honestly had no clue. People often mistake them for big benign creatures, thinking them docile and calm. I've been charged by cows from the other side of the fence and I were only walking along a path, no dogs with me. Most folks really have no idea how dangerous they can be.
  3. Thanks T We were near this And as she came whipping past I followed her with the camera thinking 'oh she's on sommat' And then she did this My poor car boot is a swamp now!
  4. I rounded a bend t'other week and came face to face with a cow. Those of you who know how I feel about that can imagine my reaction I avoid them at all costs. Creepy things.
  5. Went back to Wigan today 'cause I had 'nothing better to do' and had a walk with my Bitch - and the dogs More of the usual, dogs spent their time bushing and chasing rabbits in the cover ... and making faces ... posing a bit ... and rolling in the f&^*ing muddy water Goddamn cowbag! ... larking .... ... and arguing over a rabbit Stella caught ... which she then took for a swim after I necked it and gave it back to her A most enjoyable day - a

  8. My presence and the use of my sparkly car's boot should humble you. Chocolate. Buttercream. Biatch.
  9. He might be small but he moves through cover like a silverback gorilla He's the most fun. Ever.
  10. First one's my favourite, very atmospheric
  11. I've not been on the site for a few weeks .... just logged in to read this sad, sad news Craigy was a sound, likeable, helpful fella. Sincerest condolences to you and your family
  12. That Zac is a good dog. He's young, he's keen, he's strong, he's biddable and he's done some work on the lamp. Hope he finds a good home Also I just noticed your comment 'nothing better to do today' ... I see, so I brave the wilds of the motorway every week to go mooching with you because you have nothing better to do? I let you put your dogs in my precious car because you are bored, is that it? Those cakes better be chocolate, with chocolate buttercream, or I ain't coming back!
  13. Look, I am not having a massive pack of dogs wiping they're mucky paws all over the back of my lovely Claretmobile! My OCD would take over and I'd probably have a fit whilst driving and kill us all Great pics matey I expect freshly baked cakes on Friday please and thank you
  14. I once discovered a litter of kittens in the cemetery my Nan is buried in - the mother had been hit by a car, and two kittens feeding off her dead body I spent a couple of hours barefoot in the cemetery, armed with tinned cat food and a blanket; crept up on them and finally caught them. They were totally wild, even at the age of about 5 weeks. Took them home, fed them, socialised them and rehomed them. Still, I'll never get the image of them feeding off her like that out of my head. Very interesting to see. Survival at it's most gruesome. ... well, until you came along that is A
  15. is what your ex said OMFG
  16. See! Vast improvement ..... .... in the shots where the dogs are obviously off lead
  17. Thanks guys Rigby is quite good at 'get in' when we're out. I point where I want him and tell him to 'get in' and he shoots in and has a nosey around. We have good fun The big 'uns have learned to stand round the edges and wait for the goodies to shoot out Been doing some ;find it' with him in the garden with a dummy, just to increase his awareness. ... the dummy is nearly as big as him and probably weighs about the same Happiness is a ginger terrier of unknown Gypsy breeding
  18. That would be the understatement of the century Steve I never had one before him. Now I can't imagine not having him. Except, of course, when he's barking at bikers out the back of the car. Then, perhaps, I can imagine it quite clearly lol
  19. Aw Penny that's a lovely thing to say You can imagine the good he does for my soul Probably he'd make a good therapy dog too, come to think on it. I should look into that.
  20. He lives in a bubble of happiness (unless there is a motorbike behind the car when I'm driving - that brings out his Pitbull alter ego ) As requested: With his mate Rocky the Lab
  21. .... and all the Ginger Ninja fans The beach is becoming a regular habit. How could I deny him such happiness?
  22. If she's kennelled, put a board across the box so she has to hop it to get out. Same can be done across the door of the house, and just raise it as she gets better. Find some low fencing with no barb on it, leave her and walk on. Once she starts getting the hang of it, teach her a command when she jumps and you're away
  23. You can't hose a 9 week old pup and expect her to be anything but frightened. She won't trust you at all if you just leave her out there to scream herself into a complete panic either. I take it she's alone without another dog for company? Everything Skycat said is bang on. Take her into the house, crate train her and move her outside when she feels more secure. My dogs lived in till they were couple of years old before I kennelled them out and they adjusted just fine.
