  1. We watch him and really like him My kids are 7 and 9, and are all cub scouts. He's meant to be arriving at their next camp in a helicopter - one of my daughters in particular thinks the sun shines out of him, she's mega excited. I asked if I could go too but I'm not allowed lol. He does a lot for scouts which imo is an invaluable organisation for kids. Plus he's entertaining even when he's a bit of a boob
  2. Have you been to Canada? Whereabouts were you thinking? There are a lot of hunting outfits right across the country, might do to contact some and ask them how you'd go about looking for work in the field etc? My advice is Northern Ontario, Alberta or British Columbia. Lots of fishing, lots of hunting, lots of great country. Be forewarned tho: it's colder than the proverbial witch's tit in winter. Like, frozen nose hair kinda cold

  4. shushyjukel the skunk part2 http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/185307-skunk-update/ The first post got deleted I think didn't it? That video ... hahahahahaaaaaa brilliant laugh that was lol
  5. No need to insult people is there Paulus?
  6. Who else remembers the thread about the skunk? Or Camoman? ... I've been on here a long time and had some proper good laughs both with - and at - other folks Met some good friends too. It certainly isn't as informative as it once was and you have to wade through a whole lot of bullsh!t sometimes but it's fair entertaining. One thing I've definitely learned is a girl gets frozen out of the boys club banter more often than not now, or treated as a target (some of the pm's I've gotten would make a prostitute blush), and there are some seriously rude blokes on here with a low opinion of a woman
  7. Haha Undi those are great - really made me laugh
  8. Shared that on my FB for you sowhat
  9. For that money the could've paid someone to proof read the ad. They can't spell, maybe the money from the pups will go towards a tutor?
  10. im no better with a rifle or shotgun Mr magoo I shan't mention the camera ............
  11. So basically you're a crap shot? No wonder you needed the metal detector!
  12. my grandad(RIP) gave me my first catty one day up his allotment, he put an old penny up and just said when you can hit that 4 times out of 5 come and tell me, hes still waiting Aww bless! That's a good idea think I'll try that! lol
  13. That's the plan Paulus! Yesterday I gave the three of them an massive empty box, some glue, scissors and markers and said 'away and go make something'. Didn't hear from them for AGES.
  14. Until he's well practised and proved sensible I don't want to give him ammo he can kill things with Marbles might be ok if I can find small enough ones I guess. Good idea It's that or a pouch full o'peas in his stocking Maybe next year I'll invest in a metal detector lol
  15. Give over Paulus ... a metal detector ... if I had the money for one sure! What size is best for kids? Wouldn't the dried peas be a cheap and cheerful and environmentally friendly option? Am trying to avoid him taking out someone's eye Obviously he'll get a safety lecture (I am a woman after all) but still ... this catapult is f-ing ace! I had a go with it, it shoots well far!
  16. Can I ask you fellas ... I've got a catapult for my 8yr old son. It's a hand made one, bigish and sturdy (my neighbour is crafty at stuff like that; it's a belter). What ammo would you recommend - bearing in mind he's 8 lol I was looking for a safe alternative and someone somewhere said they use dried peas instead of the pellets? What's your opinion then? I know nowt about ammo/catapults etc lol
  17. Thanks for the comments folks ... Sowhat, the cakes were yummy - had them with some Madagascan vanilla custard Better get back down there for another walk this week. All this birthday cake will make a right fat b@stard if I'm not careful and we can't have that!
