  1. Round our area everyone seems to be going down the Alpacho route with accompanying tea shops etc. And, to be fair, they seem to be doing very well. Jok.
  2. Strange but true. Had a conversation with a kennel lad today and he asked if I knew anyone who bred Airdales. The answer was no. Are they an endangered species?jok.
  3. See if you can get Culloden. Hairs stand up a bit. Jok.

    Lapland

My granddaughter reckons that if we wrap up up nice and snug, put our imaginative heads on, jump in the car, save a fortune, ICELAND is a great alternative. OMO. Jok.
  5. Part timers annoy me. Went to Bookers on Wednesday and got my Xmas booze. Dalwhinnie single malt. Kendricks gin. Cockburns port. Stole vodka. Jack Daniels and to wrap it up a nice bottle of Hennessy. 6 cases of Ausi wine and a couple of slabs of beer. Might of missed a few bits out but that's Xmas for you. Have a great sober Xmas guys. Jok.
  6. Stumfelter. Strange you mention such hideous thing but, not far from my home, in a well known Midlands location, not far from Micky, are a number of what can only be described as man traps. Clearly they were laid to catch anyone daring to poach the local deer. I can only say that if you were doing a runner without local knowledge then it must have been 50/50 you'd be caught or without doubt a leg in a minstrosity of a trap. I'm 144. Jok.
  7. Delswall . London Bridge I reckon. Jok.
  8. Same for you and yours. Have a good un. Jok.
  9. Sambo-123 That was quite rude. I have spaniels, labs, lurchers and as you so openly point out a Plummer. No need for bad manners. Jok.
  10. New kid. All the while I've been on here, never heard of Sambo123. Have anyone? Jok.
  11. Gaza. I only tried the fibreglass idea because I had some roof sheets available and looking outside the box decided it was an alternative. The overall box weight, both the poacher and the double bowback, is , to say the least, light. I was always looking for inexpensive ways to create a lightweight box and thinking about your comment, fibreglass construction might be the way to go. Having said that, with the decline of the rabbit, we might not need ferret boxes ffs. Jok.
  12. Is that the end of this topic then? Jok.
  13. Know what. Next thing you just happen to find, give me a PM please. Merry Xmas. Jok.
  14. A knock on the door at any minute ffs. Lol. Jok.
  15. Just found a London Gin which clearly was not meant to be found. Off down the Station,,, if I can find one. Lol. Jok..
  16. Oh dear Sambo. Ffs you are biting when there is no need. Rings in bulls noses springs to mind. £100 and I'll take all the grief from you and wish you, and your family, a very merry Xmas. Yours truly. Jok.
  17. Not a bad effort. We're just having trouble with the giraffe bone. Ffs. Nice work. Jok.
  18. £35.00 plus vat to shoot a partridge here. Then give the keeper his handshake. I'd say that is a good deal. Jok.
  19. I totally missed your comment and only realised that there is someone on here who works ffs. Lol. Jok.
  20. JLP. Yes mate that's the stuff. Light as hell and very easy to fix. As I said you can have the carcass already made, also the shoulder strap and some aluminium mesh for the front. All you would need are the hinges and an hasp. Have you had a look at the ones I've made, posted on here? Jok.
  21. J.L.Parkes. Right son. I've winkled it out and to be fair, you don't have to do much. If you want the basics then just say yes and for the cost of a bit of postage it'll be on it's way to you. As the lads on here will tell you, I use fibreglass sheet for the back bow which is a lot easier than plywood. Each to his own however. Jok.
  22. Thank you sir. The feelings mutual. Jok.
  23. TBF I've made that many I can't remember where they have all gone. The one box that really springs to mind went to Australia, to Sir Blessed. He, admittedly , adjusted a little bit,, added some white paint and went for it. It's always a pleasure to hear from him but not for quite a while. Like Nelson, I love to hear feedback from supplying a product and hope that everyone continues to enjoy .jok.
