That looks absolutely wonderful. Just so happens I've got the next 6 brace to do and ordinarily that would get chucked.( simply because I can't physically handle the amount of birds given me. ) I think that's going to be on the table Saturday teatime. Thanks for that pal. Jok.

Should have added. How many people do you reckon have a cobblers heel as in the pic? Jok.

I took this post down the local and low and behold, 3 local guys have the same bits of kit. One particular guy is going to follow your advice as he works in a local metal shop. His son particularly liked the forge as indeed he has just made one but used a hair drier. He's making some great stuff. If I can, I'll go down to the unit and get some pics. He loved the Wolfspaw and went out to his car returning with an original opined to show the lads. You could not write this pal. It was brilliant the ideas that were whanging round. Beer helped. Anyway, if anything becomes of the blacksmiths vices

Flacko and Johnie Russell. Hi guys. I'm a lot closer than you both haha" how are you guys. I'm in a position to shift a few bits and bobs as can be seen on the forum. If your man is interested he can PM me anyway. About time we had a coffee Flacko. ATB? Jok,

Might just be an idea to have a word with the syndicate before 'jumping the fence'. Even if they say no you can still 'jump the fence'. At a guess, if they have any clue, they'll let you on happily but would probably want you to remove the pike. A lot won't. I did a lot of diving in Stoney Cove, Leicestershire, and we came across huge pike and perch. Nobody fishes at all and the water is so big that these bugger so get to live a long life. I know that size is increased whilst viewing underwater but I kid you not they are BIG. Jok

Strangely Blackbriar, I've just read a book by Greg Iles, Nanchez Burning, and whilst marginally fictional, tells of the atrocious conduct of Politicians and in particular the KKK in Carolina and round the Mississippi basin. Very compelling read I must say. Well worth a look. Jok.

New kid. I'm with you 100%. I can read just about anything and rarely go anywhere without that ability. I'll admit I have my favourites as regards authors but all in all it has to be print. My opinion only, Jok.

I bet you there are still more MK 1 's being used at moment. As stated, it's a small market place so prices probably will hold. Speaking of which !! Mk1 8ft with 2 collars , 20 X 3'6" nylon (10 z) nets , 1 new Bowback box, 3 compartment and a Gill or 2 to go with it all. Now that's a complete set up. PM me if interested. I've already offered free delivery because a mate of mine is working near where the guy lives but he hasn't contacted me. Jok.

You are obviously not reading the posts. A number of nets available on here as we speak. Jok.

Took all that on board. Will the dogs handle them when they become a problem? Jok.

Fck I love it when I hear Scottish Borders. I'm a Melrose man and whenever I see a Borders post I try to figure where it is from. Going to up there shortly to meet a fellow forum member. Jok.

Have a look at Edith Weston. What a cracking little stone village. Mind you pal. You could push the boat out proper, no pun intended, and nip over to Corby. (Little Glagow). Everyone born there is naturally Scottish. LOL Jok.

Hi Lynn. As above..You may have noticed that the guys on here like picture stories (mainly because they can't read haha). Looking forward to your adventures especially the new dog. Any idea what you will have?. Jok.

Just dressed 11 brace red legs which were left at mine last night and have been promised all the birds from the last 3 days, pheasant and partridge for nowt. Now is that a result or what? Pity Terry D doesn't live closer cause I'd fill his freezer no probs. On a downside, not much rabbiting going on at moment. Not been too good of late. Happy days. Jok.

Flipping Eck. Got you on this one. Been using a 5 prong I made years ago. Down the allotments they all want one as it really takes the backache out of it all. Nice job partner. Jok.

Can't quite see how you are going to clean the white lines from the handle. I've some black stain I use on some of my wood turning. Could that be the route. Black boot polish. Donna know kid. Keep at it and remember, if you go out in the dark doing dark deeds you got to check your footprints LOL. Jok.

The guy was either Polish/Romanian or from an Asian community I reckon. They got brains them foreign fellas. Oh. And they eat them as we'll. Jok.

Well pal I have to ., at last agree. The chances of getting to Ireland are to say the least, remote. SO Munti guys. Jok.

Micky. Went into our local butcher and he asked me if I wanted to bring in any Pheasant meat which he would gladly make into sausages and burgers. What a splendid chap. Wonder if the Melton guy was thinking the same way? Jok.

Don't know Daz. If I remember correctly you can pick up a MK 3 collar with the old mk1 box but not vice versa. Jok.

Now I know this is not exactly deer related but a question anyway. In our locale we seem to have a very strange phenomenon. It's turning up in numbers ranging from one or two to one hundred and fifty. It, like any other animal strives for escape and therefore at some time will be looking for a mate and the consequences are obvious. THE LLAMA or smaller related beasts. They are blinking everywhere. The local farmers are either having wind farms, solar panels or Llamas. I remember when wallaby's were released, I think on a Scottish Island and remember the horrible results when the anti's release

Well not being funny but why ask the damned question in the first place? You knew you were going to get a response of some description, (rant over) Has your question been answered or not? Jok.

Well not wanting to drop anyone in it, which I won't, I know of 2 people who set electronic calls out to 70/100 yds for a number of reasons. Dog @ Vixen. Jok.
