I expect the new Anne Boleyn adaption will have a twist at the end, the strong black female character will chop Henry VIII's head off.

I remember my sister's bedroom covered in BCR posters and her blasting out their 45s in a continuous loop on the record player. I hated them! Still sad hear he's died though... another reminder of our own mortality. RIP.

There is thread on here that you may find interesting/useful New Bedlington Pup by THE STALKER A chap who got a conventional KC pup, no secret squirrel lines, and seems to be doing good things with it in regard to the type of hunting that you are intending to do.

Don't look spannable but you'd be surprised where they can get to if they really want to ?

Watched the 41 gun salute and started to find it annoying when crews were shouting out commands and then a feeble squeaky female voice would join in. Must have been a bit embarrassing for the lass who needed 4 attempts to open the breach on the naval gun.

A good friend of mine once got invited to a hare shoot down the country. Not my sort of thing as I preferred to run them or hunt them but each to his own. I forget where it was but in retrospect assume Sandringham Estate or somewhere in the surrounding area. Prince Philip was part of the shooting team. My friend said he was just 1 of the lads with no airs or graces. As it should be of course. I would never toff my cap to anyone nor would my friend. But odd in some ways that a council ground worker was walking and shooting shoulder to shoulder with the Duke of Edinbrugh. We have no say in what

I used to work with a bloke who wasn't exactly what we would these days call a people person. He always used to say that if he ever won the pools (pre lottery) he would buy a combine harvester and drive it up and down the A19 just to piss people off.

Why? Not my choice of dog but if you own a cockapoo and lamp with it then why be ashamed? Each to their own.

Joking aside I hope his recent absence from here is nothing to do with the present situation that the world finds itself in. I enjoy his posts.

Heard rumours that the national symbol is being changed from the bald eagle to a beddy.

His lack of input on here seemed to coincide with the USA getting a new president. Just saying.

I've been out lamping rats with "hard men" who are scared of moths.

Not particularly academic, interesting or impressive but if I'm being honest: Animal Farm, George Orwell. Read at a time when I was starting to suss people out for myself and it confirmed what I was thinking. Pygmallion, George Bernard Shaw. Similar to above. Hunt and Working Terriers, Captain Jocelyn M Lucas MC. Made me aware of a world that I had no idea existed and have been trying to live in that world ever since, without success. Unfortunately I was not born into the British officer class and the 1st quarter of the 20th century had long gone. Electrical Installations,

I used to love historical documentaries on tv. They all seem to follow the same theme these days though. The great figures in history were woman and women were behind all the important historical events. I would find such programs as fascinating as ever if any logical or factual evidence were produced but it is usually a woman with an unsubstantiated theory. And if her theory is true another woman will pop onto the screen with her theory that could be substantiated if the previous theory can be proved. Yet to see any of them trying to prove that a woman was the real driving force behind the Na

I was just about to write the same thing regarding bright closing. And you hear them coming long before you see them, sometimes a good thing. And ski sticks! Why? What the f**k is wrong with them?

The queer weather bloke? Which one? That's like saying that annoying female TV presenter, continuity announcer, radio DJ, voiceover on an advert, sports presenter, TV archeologist or weather girl that all sound like they've had elocution lessons from Catherine Tate's Lauren the teenager. Need to be more pacific.

Middle aged men threatening to jump off the Tyne Bridge at 07:30 on a weekday and making everyone else late for work. If they want to top themselves could they not show a little consideration for others and do it the weekend?

A Way out of Walsall - D. Brian Plummer (1985)

That's a shame. I have a few of his books and always found them interesting. Sent off for one once that I had seen advertised and received a very nice hand written letter from the author explaining that there had been a problem with the publisher along my returned cheque and the author stating he would rather that the money was sitting in my account than his until the problem was resolved. Very classy, unlike others who took full subscriptions for working dog magazines that I am still awaiting refunds on 40 years later. Not EDRD I should add. -
Are we still allowed to say fairy? Could be offensive to faggots and none inclusive to imps... possibly even gimps.

The skin on the tail coming away would probably be from mange ?... less chance of piss being on the head than the tail though so more method in your madness ?
