    Ive got one of those traps i could only ever seem to catch young in them though adults wouldnt go in it. Might be diffrent if there is a big volume of rats though.

    I dont think it can be a bad thing playing with the dog like hydropotesinermis said strenghtens the bond. Just make sure you always decide when to start and stop so it knows your the boss.

    Yes i had one of those that liked to crap on and in things. I left a car battery in the yard for 10 minutes came back and it had backed up on to it an done his buisness right in the middle. The same dog once craped in my grandads welly and he put his foot in it before he realised lol.

    I didnt take it in this time missus did but she said there was no problem at all they never even mentioned a heart murmor so i dont know what the other vets problem was. It was the same practice just a diffrent vet.

    I suppose if a house dog ate some rotten stuff it would probably give it a bad stomach and shit all over the place but once there use to it they will be fine. Some of these dogs must have cast iron guts to cope with it lol.

    Took the dog to a diffrent vet and they got her in and chopped it off in no time and no fuss so im chuffed to bits now and shes a lot happier now with a short tail so a good result in the end.

    What folk round here call working sheepdogs because there not like your typical border collies they come in all shapes and sizes just bred for the job it doesnt matter what they look like so we call them curs like mongrols. My dad had a cur that he would never feed for weeks on end because it would live of dead things he would put food out for it but it was always full and fat so would leave it.

    Is it a soft or hard lump? My granma had a dog that if it ever had a cut it would go to a pussy lump and she would just stick a needle in and squeeze it out and put some iodine on it.

    Ive got a 2005 massey/arctic cat 450 as a spare bike for when were busy at lambing time i picked it up second hand for a grand and it was clean and straight there was still crome on the ball hitch its a decent bike can be a bit un steady on bankings as its set a bit higher than the yamaha. I think massey took there name of the arctic cat products when quality started to slip. When i use to have an arctic cat it went in for a bit of work so carrs sent me a brand new top of the range 500 arctic cat and to be honest it was a piece of junk you needed a 20 acre feild to turn round on it bits w

Im glad shes not on here because she would want that pup right now so would i but i know nows not just the right time to be getting another dog i have just kept 2 pups out of my own litter of sheepdogs.

    Im not totally set on a sooty sam dog aslong as it comes from working parents i'll be happy i will just have the job of sourcing a litter she will be picking the pup so i may aswell try and find a good litter. Like the look of that pup of yours bobza bonny thing it is. How much do whippet pups go for price wise?

    Ive never been hit but i know an old fella from eskdale thats tells me he has been hit 3 times once was in his yard he swears its true but we all know what these old boys are like for tall tales haha.

    How do lads. So the missus whants to get herself a whippet she has had her heart set on one for a while now. Im not looking for one right now im just after a bit of info on them and what to look for and pros and cons for the breed. It will be primaraly a pet but i will no doubt end up bringing it along with my pack when mooching and she does enjoy lamping so it will do a bit of that so i would look to get one from working stock instead of a show type. We have never had anything to do with whippets or know anybody with one so any knowladge will be greatlly appreciated on this side. Ive hea
