    So do i mate thats why i chose to do it for a living. Ive sheared what i gathered down this morning so im going up to the top end of the fell in the morning to get another stock of sheep to shear. just finished shearing the last of ours tonight. last hour by head lights of the truck. that many midge bites, I look like the feckin' elephant man. cold beer time How many did you get done yesterday? we only did 45. But got one of those calls this morning. The type you should say know to, but never do. Do you do much shearing?

    Jed my main dog never stops barking around sheep witch is a good teait in a fell dog Bob my kelpie x not the best dog i have but he will never jack in hes tough as old boots Skye shes getting on a bit now shes 8 now so starting to slow down a bit Foxy shes a really good bitch shes bons half sister and the mother of my litter of pups ive just had. Blue my dads dog and to be honest its useless so im glad its not mine. Kes my dads other dog shes a beardie x just a young dog but its showing a lot of promise so only time will tell. Fan this

    Not eskdale but its not far in a straight line but its about a 45 mile trip on the road.

    A few reds in the distance i had to zoom right in so its a bit grainy but the best i can do on my phone

    Set off at 04:00am this morning to start gathering the fell. Real bonny morning still and cool so it was nice going for me and the dogs.

    Like that bottom pic. I do like them deerhound x's. Do the deerhound x's take a while to mature like pures or do they get going a bit quicker?

    Met a team of the trackie brigade trying to poach deer on my farm the other night luckily they never got anything before i chased them off. It really gets to me why they would be going for deer at this time of year when there calving. Especially on my land! If i see them again i wont be letting them go i dont like involving police in my problems but sometimes its needed.

    Ive got a new perm for this back end its teaming with rabbits ive only been able to look at it for the last few years as its right next to one of my other perms but luckily this year a mate of mine has a job there so hes managed to get me in there to get some of them cant wait till all the caravans and tents are gone so i can get in.
