  1. Ive only seen him that once but ive been looking since. He was a short fat fella so i would think he would struggle getting around in these fells lol. I havent seen anything dead or guts anywhere on my land but i dont go on my neighbours bit to much because ive no need to unless my sheep have got in because theres a wall gap. I might have a ratch round it tonight with the dogs theyll find something if its there.
  2. Now im not a deer stalker or do any sort of shooting apart from a few rabbits and woodys with my air rifle but i do know if im going to shoot something i intend to take in down with one shot. Well the other day i was down my road and i came round a corner and saw a man standing on the side of the road looking over my feilds with binoculars now normally i would just carry on as theres always tourists and crag rats knocking about. But this fella looked the part stood with his truck and i could see his rifle on the back seat so i pulled over to ask who he was and what he was doing. He politlely t

  7. I think its the same every where. I have thousands of acres to hunt on and there few and far between have to be willing to do the leg work to get 10 15 in a day or night for that matter.
  8. Ive got a 08 caddy and its a good van never had a problem with it. I had a astra before it and that was a heap of junk gutless and bad quality the caddy has a better ride hight i was forever catching the bottom of the astra going through gate ways and feilds in it and you cant get much in the back with them being low so you have to crawl in to get something from the back. Where as theres plenty room in the caddy
  9. Mine will roll in fox and badger muck but not other dogs muck it must be a pain in the arse to have to clean them on a daily basis.
  10. I was going to have i ride through on saturday hopefully i'll get in for free again but i doubt it. Its a bit expensive to get in so i dont think i would bother if it wasnt so close.
  11. The pole was a bit excessive but they were asking for it. Like navek says to many woman think they can get away with putting hands on men with no repocusions.
  12. What pubs that in perthshire keeper...?
  13. If you want to throw me a few hundered quid you can walk threw my sheep as much as you want lol.
  14. Has that got a bit of wirehaired pointer in it coverdogs? Looks a bit like it with the markings could be wrong though.
  15. Ive also seen it in turkeys and chickens cant speak for deer but i do a bit of work on a turkey farm and they are horrible cnuts they basically peck the weak ones to death they crowd round a small one and just peck peck peck on the heads and necks it leaves them in a right mess. I beleive there part of the vulture family it bloody hurts whem they get you as well.
  16. I just pick one like and try my very best to get the most out of the dog what ever it is.
  17. I'll give that a try i did notice when i was feeding them out of my hand one of them is really laid back and will gently lick/eat from my hand where as the other one is a bit more iratic and grabs mouthfulls at a time and wolfs it down.
  18. I got told the hemp you really want is that expensive you couldnt afford to make nets out of it i dont no from personal experiance but just what i was told from an old time ferreter.
  19. I think thats the thing with most situations with dogs like if you know your dog fights with other dogs and you see one coming and your heart starts pumping and start to stress the dog will pick up on it and take the dominant role and act how it thinks it needs to. I had the same problem with my mums bullmastiff it would kick off as soon as it saw a dog or sheep because she would get in such a panic but if i took the dog and kept calm and quietly corrected the dog before it acted it was fine.
  20. It would be handy for a few hebridians put to a cheviot tup. Easy to lamb and dont cost much to buy and are easily looked after. Then just sell the lambs store if you dont want to finnish them. Just make sure the ewes have nice short teeth when you buy them.
  21. What a face lol on the 3rd photo.
  22. If you meen to see if they bite i did and there both fine i had them eating a bit of mince out of my hand last night and there was no nipping but i did notice every time i took the food away they would have a little scrap. Is this usual or are they just establishing a pecking order?
