  1. It's very good stuff and the cleaning regime you describe above is exactly what I use (except I add a last patch with oil if I'm putting the rifle away). then do you put a dry patch down again just before you use it next time chris ? to take the oil away
  2. dont burris do a scope and mounts for it mate
  3. butchers bore shine is good so everyone tells me when using it on there centrefires ive been told put some on a bush down the barrel and then a couple on patches. and then dry patchs to make sure its all out. and then the rifle is good to go again dont no if its true as i havent tryed it yet but a fair amount of people have told me its verry good stuff. just make sure its a nylon bursh you use and clean it off after
  4. thats sound great john it can be adjust to with out the stock out the action cant it ? and was it a direct fit ? ie'' you never had to take anything off the the stock so it fitted. as i hear on some rifles you have to work on the stock a little to make it fit
  5. nicw one how much did that set you back
  6. build and performance i would guess jack
  7. im getting a ase cqb for my 222/250 once i pick it up. ive heard a rifle with a s5 ase on and one with a ase compact on which is a 243 and above mod really. but all i can say is god there superb and i wouldnt have any other mod as there the best on the market i would say. not many people like front mounted mods as the weight is over the front then. but i think there better as they dont look to big as over barrel mods and if your shooting off a bipod what does the weight at the front matter anyway
  8. if i was having fac air i would have a pcp to a springer. rapid mk 1 or 2 or a s10
  9. stealker s10 fac tuned by john bowkett accurate as hell, smart, running 28 ftlb cant beat it
  10. i have 120 yard head shot on a rabbit with the hmr mind you i was in the 4x4 on the window
  11. there trigger will be the best thing you can get for the rifle i would say. your be surprized how much that can help the groups. get the rifle bedded to for peace of mind if your having it screwcut i would get it recrowned to at the same time to make sure and when you get it back give it a good clean to make sure there isnt any little bits of metal left over from the work that has been done. its a shame you cant reload as i bet that would improve the rifle to. im oing halfs on a reloading kit in the summer with a friend. i think its the best thing you can do as you can improve the rifl
  12. yes wont do no harm in phoning them and politely asking about your visit mite even speed it up i phone and ask them if i have been waiting for my fac to return and there more the helpful. when you get it the odd tin of sweets taken round to the hq if your not to far from them helps if you want anything in the future
  13. nice one mate you cant beat a walk around with the hmr looking for the odd crow and other vermin sat out with out a clue whats coming there way
  14. if i they had my money i would call your bank if you have paid on card. and get it back that way if they wont hand it back to you. its really crap when firms take themoney and no there going down
  15. have you sent it in ? or just wanting to no how long it take ? i would just give them a bell and see. no harm in asking is there as thats what they are there for
  16. 200 bar on a rapid mate but i would fill to about 190 as a little less sometimes gets a sweet spot where the rifle shoots better
  17. A top quality job can be done in minutes for £15 - £25 I understand, but we are all expected to roll over and pay crazy margins to everyone, the figures I have been quoted are ridiculous, £300 for a screw cut is obscene! I only paid £250 for my last rimfire brand new (THE WHOLE GUN) and that was pre cut, so how can these stupid figures be justified just to cut the barrel! that guy will sort it mate for you if he has a free bit of time. cheaper the you quote and he is the dogs bits so im told to
  18. bet if he had it recrowned it would be bang on again. the crown is the most important part if that isnt good the rifle mite as well be scrap recrown and all will be well
  19. could try dasherman off the bbs mate he will sort you out at a good price. HE BUILDS SOME NICE CUSTOM RIFLES TO SO NO'S A THING OR TO I WOULD SAY he is in Basingstoke mate so not to far from you is it ?
  20. mate what i would do save a little and get a cracking scope for it. and only use the cheap ammo to dirty the barrel after its been cleaned. get some federal ammo and fox away
  21. get some federal soft points mate bet there shoot well.
  22. nice story mate it is nice to get out 1st thing and see as the sun comes up. and the rabbits start moving around there is no better feeling then that. im off out in a minute i said i will take the girlfriend as she wants a go of the 22lr and hmr at some targets. BUT SHE SAID WE ARE NOT SHOOTING ANY RABBITS I SAID OK but i have put the lamp in the 4x4 for when the light go's then she can lamp and i can some how drive round looking for that target board with the hmr out the window of the 4x4
  23. nice story mate it is nice to get out 1st thing and see as the sun comes up. and the rabbits start moving around there is no better feeling then that. im off out in a minute i said i will take the girlfriend as she wants a go of the 22lr and hmr at some targets.
  24. if you have cleaned the barrel mate. it mite just need some shots down it again before the groups tighten back up. try with the mod off also. its not clipping it is it ?
