  1. its more bother then its worth mate shame really as there are some cracking stuff over there cheap
  2. i like the sako quad and im sure its a cracking rifle the only thing that puts me off is say something when wrong with it your stuck then. where with me if my 22lr cz was playing up and i nedded it sorting i still have the annie hmr to use. you couldnt do that with the quad that means both cal's would be out of action but lets face it what is going to go wrong with it really sako's are rock soild rifles as are most other makes there isnt really anything in them to go wrong as long as you keep the mag, bolt, area clean
  3. yes hm2 is still going to be loud as its super sonic. if thats the case i would just use the hmr its really the same sort of noise if i little louder. the hm2 buleets are cheaper but not all shops have a good stock of them in so make sure yours does if you plan to get one. otherwise you will have to travel which will cost you so you mite as well got the hmr in my opion as for the 22lr i think it is still the best rabbing rifle its cheap to run, there is loads of different ammo for it, there alot more silent, and if you set it up at 50 or 60 yards and get a good scope you can soon work out
  4. yes it wont be fired as much as a range gun then so even if its a standard barrel it wont get hot quick like it would if used at range
  5. im going for the winchester stealth 22/250 i should get it with in the month
  6. could do mate but baldie said he would take any lenght of the barrel of a 22/250 as it would lose fps and thats the point of having it over 223 in the 1st place. i will see hoe it go's what you thinking of getting ?
  7. mite reload in the future mate. but for now i will use factory ammo. as i wont use the rifle that much anyway it wont work out to dear plus factory ammo is more then accurate in them. ive seen a savage rifle a guy i no has to for sale it does 1/4 to 1/2 inch with factory ammo !! which is mad really. he said it took him ages to beat the factory round when reloading for it. its for sale at 500 pound with rings, bases, its screwcut, and has a lovely after market stock on it which cost abit so i mite go for that after all its accuracy that i want regardless of make. he is only selling as he is havin
  8. hi mate i plan on modding it to keep the noise down abit as i hear there very loud unmodded im going to get a ase compact mod for it as i think there very good and well built. the only downfall is the rifle is going to be long as the barrel on the rifle im going for is about 25 to 26 inchs. so a 5 inch mod on that is going to take it around 30inchs overall which is abit long. i could have a over barrel mod but im not to keen on them as there big and heavy and look bulky. saying that i dont shoot out of a 4x4 with it so it being long dont matter really. as for the rifle im going for a
  9. got my ticket back today in the post 22/25 has been granted foxy be very scared
  10. i no a lad with a howa 243 mate its a nice bit of kit thats for sure. he told me the 1st thing he done was get the gunsmith to do a little work on the trigger and it was sorted. he said 10yards half inch groups pretty easy even with factory ammo. get this done he said and the rifes grouping improved over night Good though I am I don't often manage to get the fox and deer that close! sorry mate 100 yards is what i mean i missed the 0 off
  11. yes mate nice rifle i love it. looks a little different to a standard s10 but there isnt a lot in it really. just a different walnut stock and the barrel on it comes screwcut. keep a eye out mate they come up on guntrader every so often. if i was buying again but in 12ftlb i would have the bull barrel carbine s10 its a cracking rifle nice and compact, cracking trigger, accurate, good amount of shots percharge to. 177 is the one i like in 12ftlb to

  13. after cleaning the sak put a light bit of grease in the tube before sliping it back over. this should stop it from sticking next time.
  14. ive seen the rifle your on about. a guy at minsterley was shooting it when i was there. tackdriver it was with homeloads and he said it was very good with factory ammo to nice rifle and a joy to shoot i guess because he was there all day poping rounds off
  15. ive had rapid mk 1 in 22 a rapid mk 2 in 22 and 177 both where wicked rifles then i got a fac and was going to get a rapid fac'd but got offered a staker tiger s10 as a swap for a night scope i didnt use so i swapped it. then had the rifle fac'd and blueprinted by john bokett to 30 ftlb and its the best rifle ive ever owned. dont get me wrong the rapids are better built i would say and easy to work on where there s10 is harder to work on. but the trigger on the s10 is better i think and looks better then a rapid. plus with the 200cc bottle on i can get 40 shots still at 30 ftlb ! i
  16. f****n wankers was that aimed at me ?
  17. what gives you the right to say its no good have you seen it work maybe you shouldnt say anything till you no the facts pal because of your remarks it could cost someone a sale of a good working dog for all you no there seams to be alot of people on here sayings things on other guys threads which isnt on fair comment we dont no if the dog is a worker or not but we still shouldnt jump on it and say it isnt should we ? if you where selling something and i said it was crap would you like it ?
  18. air arms pellets are made by jsb. they just have the air arms name on the tin thats all its like some other places that have stuff made by the same firm. but there brand is on it. i wouldnt use biz mags in standard 12ftlb 22cal air rifle but i use them in a 12ftlb 177 air rifle to 3o yards and then use lighter air arms ones in the 22 to 30 yards and in the 177 to 40 yard in fac air arms are good to 28ftlb to 30 ftlb as long as the skirts are not damaged and biz mags 30ftlb and over. but i stick to 30ftlb in fac anyway and never go over it. wastes to much air and for not any gain re
  19. as long as they have the british standard mark then they will pass. most come with the police approve acceptence on theem anyway and says in most mags
  20. over air rifle ranges it wont matter about the barrel lenghts in accuracy. well as long as you dont go silly short the main thing to look at with standard length barrel and carbine is the number of shots. carbines give less shots so its up to you to pick weather you need a rifle that gives you more shots in the field per charge or not. i find most carbine rifles give more shots then you would need in one go
  21. sort the trigger out on it. i had a lighting and the trigger was very heavy and that made the rifles grouping abit poor as i didnt no when it was going to pull. i think the xl as a 2 stage on it if im not wrong mate. adjust it abit so you have less pull and then your no when its going to break that will improve your groups no end that and keep praticing
