  5. secondhand air arms tx 200 soild rifles
  6. get the mtc mamba 3x12x44 with xmas tree crosshair mate. cracking optics super clear and the different aim points work super with fac air
  7. what mod is that night hunter and how do you find it on the 22/250 ?
  8. this my fac s10 running 30ftlb tuned my john bowkett. here is my cz 22lr with carbon mod, mtc scope and brooks trigger kit fitted. had a good amount of rabbits with it and its a little tackdriver and this is my annie hmr with dm80 mod, and buchnell elite 6x24x50 scope. had a good amount of rabbits with it and some good longish shots on crows and pigeons
  9. how much you want for the ase mod ? and what thread size is it ? im intrested in it and have a slot
  10. With an HMR? Rubbish! Head shot every time. HMR will happily hit the head out to 120 yards or more, and far, far more chance of a clean kill with it. At 55 yards, a head shot is easy-peasy (though Jamie, it's NOT easy when it's the first one and the adrenaline is going, I know full well!) and is my preferred method of dispatch. Jamie - nice shooting mate, well done - sure it will be the first of many. Aren't Steyr SSGs the heaviest rifle imaginable? I don't know the Winchester but even my old Sako would be too heavy for a field rifle really. the ssg is a heavy rifle mate but im
  11. well done mate ,, first of many i hope keep your eyes peeled --looks like she could have cubs about!! theres no "could have cubs" she definately has them, thats as clear as day, the question is did he look for them or do a typical rifle bragade thing and not bother??? they will be sorted out to mate so whats your problem ! you dont no me so dont comment if you dont no the facts
  12. yes mate i have the slot for 22/250 and mod just a pick now between the winchester stealth and steyr ssg. im going to see if i can hold acouple 1st to see what there like.
  13. well done mate ,, first of many i hope yes i hope to mate thanks
  14. thats fine ss i no what you mean mate i would only ever shoot foxes with the hmr in the head your right inless you can be sure where to body shot them you run the risk of them getting away hurt. in my eyes the hmr bullet is to hit and miss for body shots all the time. ive seen a fox hit with a 222 and that was though the engine room. yet the fox still ran for 40 to 50 yards ! then when down. i guess its adrenlin but in my eyes because the 222 bullet is alot more powerfull then hmr that fox wouldnt have gone anywhere because of the damage from it. where as if that was the case of the hmr
  15. get in contact with gary and sammy mate they will sort it asap
  16. went out rabbiting last night with my mate and brother to see if we could get a good bag of rabbits. his land is packed with them so i thought we where in for a big bag. but the rabbits where very shy and the weather wasnt the best the sky was very clear and there wasnt any wind so it was silent. we saw a fair amount bout as we took it in turns we only got 5 in the end i wasnt bothered as we got out for a couple of hours. and we had 30 mins just on a target board to see if the rifles where ok. my hmr and 22lr was hitting the bull time and time again and so was my mates 22lr. at the end of
  17. the winchester im buying are the same there triggers are a little heavy to. the guy that is selling it to me said he wouldnt bother with the aftermarket ones he as a jewel and said its good but not worth the money in his eyes. a bit of polishing of the trigger is more then i would need on the winchester he said after all a jewel would be good if i shot on a range but i dont. so i want it just right but safe for vermin control.
  18. i would say he has abit of beddy to
  19. bet he will make a cracking bushing dog
  20. there is a guy on the bbs got one. savage 22/250 its got a upgraded stock on it, stainless fluted barrel, ive spoke to a couple of people on there that have shot it it can get 1/2 groups and under with cheap factory ammo. he only wants £500 for it and its screwcut and recrowned by norman clark. the stock cost 100's to i bet being aftermarket, mounts to all in for that price plus load data and dies. i would have had it but ive promised to buy something else now so i cant back out. but andy the guy that is selling it is a honest guy and will even let you try before you by to prove how good
  21. allways have the bolt back when undoing the bottle as for the bolt what i would do is check the o ring on the buddy bottle if it needs changing then do it. fill the bottle up take the rapid out and have some shots see if its ok then leave it over night see if there is any air in there in the morning. i think you mite have double loaded it. if this is the case be carfull in future and carry the rife with the bolt away from you
  22. mk2 trooper. loads of room and pretty good of road. soild build to and at cheap prices
  23. ad a weirauch hw90 gas ram theoben conversion top quality piece of kit many thanks guys, the HW90 is looking a possible contender along with the HW97 cheers for the info Dave i can get hold of the gam ram hw90 mate if your intrested and at a good price to.
  24. ive had gasrams in webley rifles and in a bsa lightning. and in the lightning it wasnt very good it recoiled harsh and wasnt to my likening. yet in the webley rifles it was fine and better the a spring. my guess is because the bsa lightning is a smaal compact gun you feel it more then the webleys. and it didnt help as the lightning trigger was crap. the trigger was heavy and then when it did pull the ram was very harsh in it. in a hw i would think it would be fine as there bigger well built rifles
