  1. hi arcpest the scope is a bushnell elite 4200 tactial 6x24x50 with side px and 30mm tube. i had it on my hmr before and i find the optics very clear the field of view on the scope is abit narrow but im use to that now. i paid £285 for it secondhand with sportsmatch mounts and buttler creek covers. there around £450 to £500 over here in the shops. i wouldnt pay that for it but for £285 secondhand its very hard to beat and as good as some leupold scopes ive looked at it has target turrets to so that mite come in handy for me to help with the range adjustment hi ss im going for th

  3. yes mate get the forms from the police shop or download them and print them off. i just got them from the cop shop. what do you want to go for ? just fac air ? and dont forget you need to ask for a mod to when going for it. get the forms and if you have any trouble pm me and i will help you fill them in

  5. softpoints will more then do the job it leaves loads of damage and foxy will be killed out right with a good chest shot no problem !
  6. keeping a fac air rifle will be fine in your shotgun cabinet mate. as long as you have land i see no reason why you wont get fac ticket. and having the shotgun does help i think. if your trusted to have that then why not a fac rifle
  7. I am fed up of people saying its easier to get a section 2 (shotgun) authorisation then section 1 authorisation!!....ITS FALSE.......if are turned down for a section 1 you will also be turned down for a section 2 as well, as you would have demostate that you are not danger to peace etc, a banned person from owning firearms, a mental or unfit to hold guns. The biggest difference with sc1 is you have to justify every firearm you want to use or buy, unlike shotguns. as long you can give a good reason and you pass the background check you will get a section 1! so if you already have a shot
  8. nice one mate glad your son has the ticket sorted he is lucky he gets to use all your gear now wish i had that chance when i was younger. i think its very good to see the younger ones getting ticket for fac and it shows that he is intrested in shooting which is good for the sport . more then likely see you in the coming months if your up this way. intill then take care and welldone the both of you hi jamie thanks for that im hoping to be up in the next few weeks im glad that your mrs is well thats good news im still having trouble finding 30mm optilock mounts for the sc
  9. ase best on the market i think but it depends on if you want a front mounted can on the rifle. most people dont as they like over barrel mods to keep the lenght down. but there isnt much in the added lenght on the front of the rifle from the t8 to the ase really ?
  10. has your tikka got the standard factory thread as the t3 tactial ? if so it will be a m18x1 which sako use to. i no ase do a thread for this as i have just had my winchester stealth done in this thread. as for ammo try some federal softpoint or federal bt ammo in it 50 or 55 grain i think it is. you dont hear many bad words about fedreal ammo

  18. nice one mate told you all will be fine. my dad had his visit today for shotgun grant the flo was sound and i fitted my dads cabinet last night for him ready for today the flo checked it and said he will get the ticket in 2 weeks which is good as my dad sent it off 14 september 2006 ! he checked my rifles and cabinet when here he wasnt going to but i asked him to as when i got my fac and had a visit from the old flo my cabinet wasnt fitted. yet i told him i would asap yet the fac still came though. he said he was going to come back but never did ! so i wanted the new flo to see it w
  19. i no there is a lot of cheap ammo in 223 but inless it fires really well in your 223 then i wouldnt bother with it. after all the more accurate the rifle the better inmy book. if you are only going to use the rifle for vermin control then weather its 223 or 22/250 you get. buy the best and accurate ammo you can. even if it does cost a bomb. im going to reload as soon as i pick my rifle up i have a guy that sells reloading kits with powder, bullets the lot to get you started. all for £160 pound ! a lad put me in touch with him that has just got one for his 222 and allread he is getting 1/2
