  2. napier gun oil i find is good. if you are after stuff to clean the inside of the barrel on centrefire or hmr try butcher's bore shine thats cracking stuff dont half get the crap out
  3. yes it run out of breath instantly just a big puff of feathers im off out now with 22/250 and 22lr to see what i can get
  4. yes as above soild rifles and super accurate to you wont go wrong with one for sure. what you can do is get the brooks trigger kit for it. but if you cant wait take the old trigger spring out and cut two coil's off it and adjust the nut abit. this will make a hell of a difference.
  5. buddy bottle rifles will allways rule if you want high power and big shot count. fac air best 3 in no order imo are bsa s10 theoben mk1 or 2 daystate airwolf or ranger
  6. top shooting mate i have the cz style and its a top rifle that rabbit has worms [ well did have ]
  7. as you no from my other post my friend and me set up my 22/250 the other day. but just before we did my friend dropped a woody at 202 yards with his 223 which is a tackdriver the 55 gr federal soft point does just as much damage as the bt ammo i think ! the pigeon just looked like it had a boom dropped on it ! here is a picture of the pigeon dont look if you dont like the gore please. there isnt much point in shooting them i find if there not to be eatten but to be honest it was great to see a cracking shot pulled off at that distance on a small target here is a coupl
  8. At present I am in the process of investigating reloading. Is the Ruger 204 considered to be a "barrel burner" ? hi mate the 204 is a cracking rifle from what i have read on the net. get it if you reload if not i think your going to find ammo hard to come by ! and if you do find some but it dont shoot well in that rifle what you going to do then ? the 22/250 ammo is dear but its there if you want it. i was speaking to a lad the other day that has a 22/250 and he has shot 4000 rounds + in it ! and its going strong still. he said the key is to look after the barrel but dont over c
  9. They look a really nice mod. Im going to search them on a few sites and look for feedback. At the moment im swaying with the jet z. It looks good and works great. Its not brilliant for balance as its heavy and goes on the end as opposed to down the barrel, but i will be using a bipod so that should help. i can get you a jet z cqb brand new for £265 mate from my local gunshop or there is a lad that does them for £255 on bbs and he only charges £5 pound to post to your rfd but that depends what your rfd will charge you to make it worth getting at that price. there £299 in most sh
  10. well got it set up at last 1 inch group but its the 1st time ive shot it and 1st time ive shot a centrefire that much so i need to get use to it. it didnt help i havent got the mod yet that will cut the recoil and in some cases make it more accurate. it groups well with bt ammo winchester siler tip ammo and sako 50 gr softpoint touching on some of the groups. the cheap privi ammo shots well which is good as its cheap my mate who is a cracking shot on centrefire rifles had a 1/4 inch group with the privi ammo so i no its me that has to brush up on it which i will once i have
  11. Fastrac10 if its for hmr a mtc 4x16x50 is more then you need in i think mate. if you want the bushnell then get that i set my 22/250 up tonight and i tell you what that bushnell is so so clear. even my mate i go with said its super clear and he has a £1200 pounds swaro scope so the bushnell must be good
  12. i like the mtc scopes not just because i sort of no gary c i no him but not that well. i no loads of people that have mtc scopes and havent had any problems with them. there after service is top stuff and i would say one of the best in the uk. the reason for this is gary and sammy his wife are shooters themself not just some big wig that wants to get really rich like some of these firms today. that saying with every company you get some things go wrong but i guess yours was just a bad batch mr logic if gary said the scope was of but your not happy as for a new one im sure he will sort
  13. put it on for abit more then if you get knocked down abit you still have a nice amount then
  14. no you can use 223 in scotland on roe so 22/250 is fine to. in england you can use 223,22/250 on munjac and cwd but not roe. which is abit silly as if its fine to use them in scotland why not here ????
  15. Looks like a great piece of kit Jamie! Have you had chance to try it out yet? Are you on the look out for another scope now. Saw Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x50 mildot. This looks like a great scope, going to try and get a look at one at game fair at Perth. I did see someone on here with a very good AGS and these seem very cheap. Have been looking for a second hand Bushnell since we last had a chat about scopes a couple of months ago but none to be had just yet. Hope all goes well with the new setup. Cheers Fastrac10 hi mate i havent tryed it out yet but hopfully will tomorrow tea time i

  18. the is no law to shooting out your car on to your shoot. AS LONG AS YOU ARE ON YOUR SHOOT IN THE CAR SHOOTING OFF THE ROAD WOULD BE A NO NO IS THAT WHAT YOU WHERE ASKING ? IF NOT SORRY IF I GOT IT WRONG
  19. i wouldnt have it on full mag at 400 yards mate. you notice your movement more on high mag 16 would be about right. but your right 400 yards is a long way and inless you can hit a target consistant at that range i wouldnt shoot on live vermin at that range. i mite be selling the bushnell soon mate as i have seen something else that i have my eye on to fit on my centrefire
  20. you could get the Bushnell 6-24x50 Elite tactial 4200 for £300 if you look for them or get it from the usa. i no a couple of people that have mtc scopes and havent had a problem with them mate. what has happened to the one you had ? have you returned it to gary c and his wife sammy ? First scope had dust on the reticle, second one I couldn't get to hold zero, and adjusting it wasn't easy either - would get the old problem where clicks don't move the POI consistently. I have sent it back to them, waiting on the outcome. Where can I get the Bushnell for 300 quid because I want

  22. yes im going to do that gary. im going to put some cheaper ammo down it say 20 then rod the rifle then 20 more and rod. then im going to use the better ammo like federal or winchester silver tips if i can find them. and try some sako ammo to. i guess its just trial and see really which fires the best. ive been luck as a couple of lads off the bbs have said if i save my say 50 or a 100 at a time i can go round theres and use there reloading gear so work up a nice load for it. get one fella the rifle feels soild its heavy but i dont mind that as i will be in resting off the jeep m
