take the bolt out the back of the rifle look though the bore and then the scope if both are on the target board then that is a start. i done it this way at 100 yards with hmr and i got it on the board 1st shoot then after 6 more i was smack on. if you find it hard then try it closer 1st then go back to the range you want it at have a look on the net to you mite see how many clicks it is on s&b website

by the bigest you can get for your set price mate. the extra room comes in handy. and make sure you get the extra deep ones as if you fit a rifle in there with scope some of the ones that are not extra deep the scope catches the back of the cabinet djs ones are good

yes its mad how much a mod does cut it out. i had some shots on my hmr the other day with out mod and that is scary loud and a deep boom from the blast when the trigger is 1st pulled. ive heard a couple of 223's with muzzle brakes and there even worse mind you good fun when on a range is it easy to get a mod over there john like it is here. or do you have to go about getting one a different way ? like fill in more forms and stuff ?

guy on the bbs site has just got the 10 shot conversion for his s400 50 pound i think he said it cost.

wont get many shots per charge with it. plus i dont think you would get it for fox on ticket because shooting rabbits with it would just mash them up. not only that bud i no its only fac air but it would be alot harder for you to let the firarms office from your area to grant you that as it is still a high cal slug and would be treated in the same way as a centrefire to get. if that s the case just get a centrefire they dont run out of air just make sure 1st if they did say you could have it. the cost to ship it over and transfer fac rifles is very dear to do to so would the cost be wor

john is your rifle got a mod fitted ? or do you shoot it with out one then ?

dont mess with any other bottles mate. just get a new or secondhand one as long as its still in date with test. i wouldnt use a bottle that has had different gas in it even if it was empty. then you would have to get it tested anyway and the cost you pay you mite as well out that to a proer dry air bottle only you use anything other then air and it COULD COST YOU YOUR LIFE !!!

maybe a seal has gone in it then.9 im sure it will be sorted. didnt the shop give you a spare rifle to use in the mean time

it depends mate each rifle can be different even if they are the same make. but aa and bisley mags are good thats what i use in mine and they good well even at 30 ftlb. you could try jsb pellets to there abit better the air arms pellets as the skirts of the aa pellets are very easy to damage and a lot of tins ive have have had loads ov bent ones in.

You will have a problem doing any better than a SAK for £30 on a HMR. You may just improve it by 1 or 2db at best but it will seriously cost you! Is the £30 sak proofed for use on .17 hmr?? because they are asking £60 plus at litts of newport, but these are marked--proofed for .17hmr. Just a thought, this could be a new topic Does a moderator have to be proof marked to be put on ticket?????? Cheers, Keith £60 in Litts! They dont normally rip off like that. You would have to look on the individual moderator to see whether it has been proofed for an in

keep the bolt back if it fully out of air when charging it or so i the pump wont work now if its fully empty it needs a big blast from a ive bottle. one that is done it should be fine. dont let it drop so low next time and just top it up with the pump

i would stick to a 243 ammo is easy to get hold of there is loads about on the market with most gun makers having there rifles in 243. if i was getting a 243 i would get a remington cheap and a shed load of after market parts for them or if you find mr logic's rifle nice to shoot then get one of the rws rifles.

yes what length is the barrel now before you want it cut ? im guessing its longer ie'' 21 inchs ? if so 16 inchs is perfect lenght great for shooting from a 4x4 as its compact you will lose fps off it from having the barrel shorter but wont really tell any difference out in the field at hmr shooting ranges. i read up abit on barrel lenghts for the hmr and on alot of the sites it said 18 inch is the best overall lenght for a hmr so thats why i got a annie. they came in 14 inch barrels to but ive heard lots of problems with them so that is why i got the 18 inch one. ive heard people having

if it has the jap optics then you wont go wrong mate. very clear optics for the money. have you looked though it ? if so and you like it get it.

no difference in performance mate both will shoot the same. some people just like heavy barrel rifles more then the standard barrel where others perfer lighter barrels if you do alot of walking on your shoot as it will be lighter to carry around. some people say hearvy barrels are more accurate and dont heat up as quick which is true i guess and if your a target shooter then the heavy barrel is the choice of most for this and the is no carrying the rifle around. but on a hmr it wont matter as the barrel's dont really heat up as there isnt alot of powder in the bullets to get the barre

jackxbeagle for me. some pats are a bit leggy for bushing i think.

177 for me flatter flying, more forgiving, and hit the right spot even if the pellet is smaller and they dispatch the vermin. weather is rabbit, tree rats or pigeons
