  1. only other way is to put abit of tape where the mod meets the barrel. but then you have to make sure the bushing isnt to tight on that tape
  2. what barrel profile is it ? if its the sporter you should get away with med mounts. if you get them from optics wearhouse they will let you return them no questions asked
  3. some area sill wont grant hmr for fox yet some will. here in west mercia they do. i use to stick to around yards and always a head shot sideways on. between the eye and and ear.

  12. what about a Doctor optics 2.5 - 10 x 48 scope with No 4 ret i have one in the sales section for £320 posted. they really are 1st class optics up there with the s&b,swaro and zeiss in this mag range. ideal as you can go on the low mag for woodland stalking. and if you need that bit of zoom for longer range 10 mag is ideal

  22. i shot one for the 1st time Saturday thanks to a local lad taking me on his land and in a high seat. I have them on my land in good numbers. and a friend of mine shot one once just before last light. when he was out on the border of the wood and the field. i have permission for this bit of wood. but the main part of the wood i don't. and this is where they hang in numbers. i have walked this wood due to footpaths and seen them break cover lots of times.   23. it doesnt matter if you have 17 cf,one of the 20 calibre cf or even 22 hornet. they are all good in there own rights. and imo is more thne enough for vermin and fox. to ranges most people shoot to under the lamp the choice is down to the person. you wont go wrong with any of them
  24. mike i know where there is a 18 inch barrel annie 1517, in a thumbhole walnut stock, wilcat mod and s&b scope for £750 its like new and very accurate. it belongs to a lad i know. he is only selling as he is upgrading to centrefire for foxing and keeping the 1417 annie in 22lr for rabbits
