  1. i have a logun on my 14 inch barrel annie. and its very good. there all pretty good though when shooting sub ammo. there isn't a lot of difference in them all.
  2. hi mate that isnt a hmr he is using it is a 17 centrefire as for hmr on fox i have shoot a good amount with hmr. but no more then yards. keep the distance down and it will be fine. i only went for head shots though sideways on between the ear and eye. it soon drops them. i dont like using hmr for body shots i have done and front of the chest isnt so bad. but side ways on i wouldnt incase it hits the ribs. it is only a tiny bullet dont forget so there isnt alot of room for error imo that is why i use to head shoot them. some people say risky shooting at a foxes head incase he
  3. hi mate you will need to reload to get the best out the hornet. because factory ammo is dear and not a great deal of it about.
  4. i would go with the 22lr. but if you have fairly flat ground and its got flint in it then hmr would be better. less prone to get the zingers with the hmr then you are the 22lr
  5. yes it will fit. i would prefer the dm80 though. its cheaper and just as good
  6. hi guys any of you on here shoot a 270 winchester. what bullets you using if you reload, powder, primers etc, doy uo just use it on bigger deer or for muntys and roe to ?
  7. had a cz style and it was very accurate, got the trigger sorted as standard there abit heavy. sold that as i needed to buy other things. but got a annie 1417 now in 22lr again very accurate, great trigger, and compact as its got 14 inch barrel. the lad i sold my cz to has had it 3 years and he is moving it on now due to not using it that much. worth a look if i where you. it also comes with 400 round sof ammo. trigger is sorted and its dead accurate. when I 1st had it I was shooting finger nail size 4 shot groups at 55 to 60 yards. if i didnt have a 22lr at moment i would snap it back up
  8. i hear the remmy firing pin can be abit over bore on them. which makes your primers look like there hitting pressure. as for my loads mate havent had chance to get out. knee high in grass over my shoot at moment
  9. my mate told me a good way to break a barrel in and its good. before firing any fully clean the rifle bore with a nylon brush and copper remover this gets all the oil and crap out the barrel they put in there when sending firearms over form the usa. then flush through with some degreaser. then shoot one and clean. if there is any sign of copper keep cleaning till its gone. then shoot one and clean again. if there is copper do the same again. if there isn't any copper then shoot 3 and clean. if there is any copper showing clean it out till its gone. then shoot 3 and check. there should
  10. motorola work and play kit brand new in box. for motorola atrix phone. this kit is around £130 new im asking £50 posted brand new. in box. only open box to check its all there
  11. hi mike have you sorted the problem now mate
  12. no mod on earth will shut the cf up to rimfire leavels. as the guy above said its because the cf is super sonic that is where you get the bang from. my mate does use a fast burning powder n110 in his 222 sometimes with light bullets. you still get the crack but its very good as the powder is burnt up fast. and your be surprised how much more noise some powders make to others when reloading
  13. hi mate not in Staffordshire but Richard pope in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire would be worth giving a ring. he does all sorts of repairs ato ll makes of air rifles, shotguns and rifles. along with rebarreling, threading, bluing etc etc,,,, one stop shop really. he knows his stuff and his prices are very good also. he is always very busy but i was there last week and his work load has dropped a little. so a good time to catch him. and depending on what it is he is doing. will do it well you wait. or a little closer to you over the border into Shropshire to mike Norris
  14. had 222 good round. but also got 22/250 and its spot on. got a 17 fb also. keep the range to 200 yards with right bullet. low recoil and noise, low powder charge and very safe round as nine times out of ten it stays inside the body
  15. i have trimmed a case and fired a round and again it had a flat spot on the neck and preasure signs hi mate you need the 17 fb case holder for the trimmer. and you need the 17 cutter. I had to buy that when I got a Wilson trimmer a couple of weeks ago. get them and then trim all your brass to length. dont forget to chamfer inside and outside of the case. as the bullets are a tight fit I found if you don't chamfer as you seat them. you can see it mark and scrap some of the brass off round the neck. my mate mike had problems with pressure in his fb when he 1st had it. have yo
  16. yes for every rifle you put down for put down mod slots to. I didn't bother putting for health and safety. i just put i do most the shooting at night. And I want to keep the rifle as silent as i could so it didnt upset the people living in the local area. cf rifles are still pretty loud anyway with mods on them. but know where nr as loud when there un modded !!! most if not all forces know this and soon as they see your putting down for mods when your vermin shooting etc they are not bothered about stopping you having a mod. if you where target shooting then that is different sto
  17. mike I have loaded for 222,223 and 22/250 but this is my 1 st time with the 17 calibre rifles. my mates have loaded for them though and they said to me the pressure can spike very fast in them. so your better going .2 of a grain up in charge and when close to top charge if you get around that. .1 grains at a time. .5 is a big leap for a little calibre like this. so go up in .2 mike and your more then likely find your accuracy spot to then
  18. it differs from site to site mate. i know a load that has put 2000 + down his with no throat wear showing so its a good little affective calibre.
  19. this is what I done. instead of buying dear factory ammo I loaded up 20 rounds of 20 grain v max in remmy brass and remington 7 and 1/2 primers. with h322 powder at start load of 18 grains. this was to get zero and run barrel in. mind it was that warm today the heat haze was making problems. so didnt test the other loads i had made. the heat also played with the fps speed today. book for start load on 18 grains says 3600 fps over the chrono i got a average of 4033 fps !
  20. most nv kits tend to be on the heavy side. so i would look at buying a lighter sporter style rifle. 223 tikka m595 or tikka lite with 40 grain rounds would be very good
  21. hi, i am looking for a replacement barrel for my ruger 77/22 in .22lr and i cant seem to locate one how did you manage to get your shilen? hope you pardon me asking. cheers ron hi mate my friend got to barrel blanks that where for sale in countryman of derby. but he sold me one as his tikka m595 17 remington was still to good to rebarrel. your better off giving border barrels a ring and see what blanks they have
  22. cheers guys im itching to get out with it. got to wait till weekend though. just hope the weather is ok
  23. i would go have the crown checked and have it re done before selling
  24. yes shouldnt really reload for others. but i know a couple of people that do. key is to get your mate round and load them up together.
  25. i would save your buying new and get a good secondhand annie 1417.
