    i have a ase compact on my 270 but could be used on a 308 also due to the exit hole on it being 30 cal. very good mod and tames the 270 down well. there not cheap at £300 but you can pick them up second-hand for around £180 to £200 pound. what rifle have you got and what barrel is it sporter or varmint. if so i would go m14x1 on sporter barrel for thread. and m18x1 if its a varmint barrel

    depends on force area. some wont some will. here in west mercia depending on your feo officer some will let you have 22cf and let you pick your own. others wont. my last 17 centrefire they put down as 17 rifle. and it let me pick which one i wanted. i was surprised it didn't say 17 cf. as 17 rifle could mean hmr also ?

    hi guys i know this is the wrong place but i cant post in the sale section. i was given two brown jills off a keeper. they have seen no work. as he didnt have the time for them due to the bird shoot. so i took them off him. they havent been handled alot and are a little over weight since i had them. but are losing there weight now since i have been watching there food intake. they will make some workers for someone willing to put in a bit of time. so anyone local to worcestershire can come and have them for free. if you want them.

    yes the older ones from the philippines are better. it is stamped on them

    the older bushnell legends are very good for the money. just make sure its the model made in the philippines

    imo i would forget 17 calibre centrefire rifles and the 204 centrefire rifles unless you reload to get the best out of them. stick with 222 or 223. if you do put a high seat in. then you will have more chance to get a higher calibre. good number of factory ammo about for the 223. and the 222 ammo is still easy to get. regardless of what people say about them

    thats what i do. 20 cases at a time and move them to the other end of he tray when i have dropped the powder charge in them.

    pcp are great but you need to get a pump or a dive bottle which will be more expense

    go for the 56 front lens zeiss the 72 you need very high mounts so it clears the barrel.

    the 453 isn't a centrefire the 453 is the newer model of the 452. and comes with a set trigger

    nothing wrong with cheaper rifles mate. just make sure the shop owners dont try and sell you a duff. its ok being cheap but if its had a lot of use a rebarrel can be a costly thing. looks along the lines of a tikka m595 and you wont go far wrong

    that isn't a crimp ring. it is a InterLock Ring it ensures that the core and jacket remain locked during expansion. like the guys above said. i wouldn't bother with crimping. because if you don't get it right on all your loads. your going to get different results with your ammo and it wont be consistent

    my mate had a trooper 3.0 lovely 4x4 and when working it is great !! its a lot more powerful then the 3.1. he hasn't had it long it had a new engine after the last one went pop. under warranty due to the injector problems. its giving problems now also. he had the 3.1 for 8 years before that and never once gave him trouble. he wish he never got rid of it now. i also have the Monterey which is the same as the trooper. i have the 3.1 engine in mine,.and other then general stuff it has never broke down or had problems with engine etc. I also drive a lot between shooting and use it as my every

    a 1 in 12 twist will let you shoot the 50 grain bullets fine. I would go for the 1 in 8 twist though if you get a tikka. because you can shoot 50's up to the heavier bullets if you did want to do a bit of longrange targeting to get to know the gun and what they can do.

    i got this 270 for £300. the rifling is spotless i dont think its had much use at all. i then picked up a s&b 6x42 and and a ase compact for £400 and now have a great all round deer / boar calibre. for some paid stalks and hopefully next year off to see a mate on the island of bute

    the 222 is a great little rifle. low recoil. great accuracy and as the recoil is low you can get away with a nice light walk about rifle. you don't need to spend £250 on a mod for it. a dm80 mod for the 222 is around £150 new. you can get secondhand ase mods for around £180 i wouldn't want it to shoot rabbits all the time though with 222 not cost affective and will do to much damage to rabbits. even head shots can still bruise the neck and down the back which isnt good if you want them for the pot. 22 hornet is a good all rounder but facotry ammo is dear and would be best to reload fo
