For Sale foxpro firestorm loaded with calls. as new
jamie g replied to jamie g's topic in Optics and Night Vision
now sold thanks -
Cz can go shorter then 16 inches. Most 22lr rifles are 1 in 16 twist. you dont need a long barrel on a rimfire. Anschutz make there 1417 model 22lr with a 14 inch barrel. And they know a thing or two about rifles

im selling my fox pro as im having a change about with my rifles at the moment so need to free up some cash. the caller has been used 4 times so as new. it has 200 calls on it and also has the box and manual with it. the remote is also like new of course ans has a plastic see through screen cover on it to stop it getting scratched, £350 picked up so you can see it working etc. can post at buyers prefered postage this really is a top notch caller with loud crisp sounds. look up the firestorm on fox pro site for full details. i will buy one again next year. but till then i have oth -
ie had lee stuf and well you do get good ammo from it. i think its worth spending that bit extra on the redding

Can't see why you wont get a grant for 270. You have good reason for it. And the land. So can't see how they can't stop you. Try not to be palmed off with mentoring if they mention it. Good luck. Atb jay

Easy over a 1000 if looked after. I would say closer to 1700 rounds. Again depends how hard a life the rifle gets. even when barrel wear does set it it still dont just loose accuracy right away. If you got 1/2 inch groups with home loads. After a bit of time they might open to 1 inch groups. Still more then enough for foxing and deer accuracy though. Light bullets at warp speed is the killer of throats inbarrels. Depending on twist of your rifle most 243's are 10 twist so your find it hard to maybe shoot 105 grain bullets in it if it was me I would stick to 70's for foxing. Better in

Ass cqb would be my choice -
All depends on what sort of money you want to spend. The bat actions are expensive but you get what you pay for. Also it will hold good value. Where a blueprinted remmy wont as such. Then you have the wait if going for a bat. Unless the smith you plan on using has some in. There are some great uk actions on the market now with out long waiting times. Also most machine them now to suite the 6.5x47 small firing pin. So cratering primers are a thing they of the past

22-250 , 223 , or 22 swift
jamie g replied to riflehunter583's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
If your worried about ammo costs then 223 will be abit cheaper to run. All depends on how much shooting you do. if you dont shoot a massive amount then the saving wont really be much in it. The 220 swift is a cracking calibre no doubt. But as the other guys said. 22/250 and 223 have a great amount of brass out for them. Factory ammo is about if you need it. Where the swift isn't always stocked. The 223 is easier to sell on if you need to. 22/250 dont sell as well second-hand. But will sell easier then a 220 swift. People are scared to buy the faster 22cf rounds. I dont know why. Bec -
had a mtc on my 22/250 when i 1st got it found it fairly good. out to 200 yards under lamp. after that the glass starts to struggle imo. [ mind didnt help as i had the xmas tree type ret] the german a4 i think its called. with the dot is much better for foxing. i agree the glass on the s&b scopes are in a different league. but i don't like fixed mag scopes for foxing. and muti mag s&b scopes are big bucks. i also find alot of the s&b crosshairs are fairly thick

there all good glass. go with what suites your budget. you wont be sorry with any of those makes

west mercia are one of the worse in the country massive back logs. but they suddenly are turning into a great force. i had my fac renewal back from them and grant of shotgun in 6 weeks. no visit from feo but might get one in future, cant moan at that. there also goign to be at the midland game fair on basc stand. doing tickets for people under that area which i think is great. if you see soemthing you liek there and want to buy it. pay get it on ticket and go take the item home.

as the guys above said. imo its the ammo though
