  1. hi mate bit on back is eye focus. the s&b is a fixed px
  2. cz for 22lr or hmr for rabbits. and for fox there is a lovely remmington on the bbs at the moment in 22/250 its had better stock fitted, recrown, and its got other things with it to ! £450 i think it is a bargain fox rifle
  3. Well, I already have a .17 HMR, a CZ Varmint 16", so I wouldn't necessarily need another Barrel. But who knows. I thought that to be the case. I have held the Quad on a few occasions and I didn't think it was that bad. I have never owned a Synthetic stocked gun but I quite liked the Sako must admit. I have a CZ with a wooden stock and the stock is first class, trigger was crap without the Brookes Kit, but it is a nice rifle. I just fancied something different. Thats good to know, I have only handled the normal ones so far, I'll keep my eye out, thanks. Well,
  4. get 12ltr 300 bar bottle for 200 pound new from deepblue sea centre they post it for that to im sure. then get a nice secondhand pcp with scop, mod, sling and bag air arms s400 or a 410 if you can add abit more money. if not get gun and bottle secondhand ive had 3 s410k. a mk1 rapid in 22, a mk 2 rapid in both 22 and 177 a daystate harrier, and the best of all a stalker fac jb tuned s10 which could put 10 shots into a 5 pence peace at 50 yards ! . all the above rifles acurate as each other in 12 ftlb form like what has been said you need to try them all and see which fits
  5. you can pick 22lr bolt or semi the choice is yours mate. i would go with the bolt its more accurate, better built, less jams now wihich bolt if you got the money and want hmr in the future then get the sako. but if you want it just as 22lr i would get the cz its just as accurate and your have money left over for good scope, ammo and so on.
  6. have you tryed the cheap ammo like privi they mite be worth a try i now the bt federal ammo the heads are made by nostler
  7. there a waste of air i think at that power you mite as well have centrefire rifles. the best power to have if you want fac air i think is around 30 ftlb
  8. dont think ive heard many rifles not shot well with federal 55 gr bullets. softpoint and bt ones are very good ive just got some 55gr softpoints to try in my 22/250
  9. sounds like the sort of rifle stalker rifles upgraged on some bsa rifles. i had the stalker tigher 10 but i no stalker done other big power rifles. i dont no if there is a predator , there there where other makes along that same sort of name as that
  10. I would also think it its the crack or thump hitting the target. Mine CZ with sak mod on Winnie subs is silent, until it hits it's target. Lead on skull is quite a reasuuring sound, means humane kill.... Matt your right mate the 40 gr is abit of a smack
  11. if i was after 223 then i would look at a tikka t3 or remmington sps seen both rifles both accurate as you like loads of aftermarket parts for the remmy to tiggers, stocks, so and so on . or howa package would be good
  12. you could use it as a pea shooter!!!! can these be locked in a cupboard or does it have to be a safe? law is the law mate you do what you want. but for 10 seconds worth of putting them in cabinet then you have no worrys if the flo comes to your house
  13. it sounds abit silly because what can a silencer do on its own but law is law. if you have them on ticket then they MUST be in the cabinet to as its classed as a firearm i dont leave them on the rifle as the unburnt powder or the crap thats left over in the mod can come back down onto your crown of the rifle and rot it away. and for the sake of unscrewing it i would do that. it will save you money in the long run otherwise over time you could need a cut and recrown to your rifle. i keep bolts in top locker with ammo just to be safe and where i rest the rifles in on the main co
  14. i would have had the 6.5x20x50 if it was me. yes most the time you will keep it on 8 mag. but if your doing some longer range shooting or target shooting its nice to have the extra mag to see the groups. iwhich will save walking back and to the target. if you have a spoting scope then thats fine. but its best to have to much mag then wishing you ghad more mag
  15. your more then likely find its not the report of the rifle making the noise your about as silent as you can get with subs and sak or ase mod. its more then likely the bullet hitting where most the noise comes from a 22 rimfire
  16. thry the guntrader. and keep alook out on all the shooting forums to
  17. i have buy 200 hold 250 in centrefire ammo. as for the 223 howa do a nice deal or if you want to spend abit more how about a nice remmington or tikka t3. you wont go wrong with them
  18. it cant afect accuracy mate in less it gets in the way of the bullet what size is the thread i mite have one here you can have Don't know the thread size but it has a wildcat mod fitted. it could be a number of threads mate. what rifle is it on and what thickness is the barrel ?
  19. best scope i found on fac air when i had one was a mtc 3x12x44. not to big and loads of different aim points to
  20. it cant affect accuracy mate in less it gets in the way of the bullet what size is the thread i mite have one here you can have
  21. not only that if you cut the bartrel down to much on a pcp air rifle you will loss shots per charge to what rifle is it on ? the best way to keep a pcp air rifle to a silent as poss and compact is to have the barrel screwcut and a over barrel mod fitted but to have a over barrel mod it depends what rifle you have really. like a air arms s410 couldnt have on because of the barrel band. but a s10 or rapid could have one as long as it isnt to long because it would touch the buddy bottle
  22. the over barrel mod your on about is the whisper i bet. there £125 in the shop's i have one here its good build and very little and light. its better then a sak and it keeps the overall length of the rifle down to.
  23. yes its 12 inch's i think. i would have it cut to 16 inch's and fit a nice over barrel mod and it will be perfect for shooting from a 4x4. the will be no difference in accuracy as long as the job is done right and its been recrowned it will be fine
  24. the 6.5x20x50 is now sold lads. it is very good but not in the same league as the viper 4x16x50 i have on my 22lr. the bushnell 4200 is the best scope i have. to be honest you cant tell much difference between scope in till you have used one for abit then changed it. for instance i had the 6.5x20x50 whitetail on the hmr to start with and it was ideal for the job. then i put the bushnell 4200 on it till i had a centrefire to put the bushnell on. and it was better then the whitetail but i couldnt see that much difference in them. but now i have centrefire i put the bushnell on that
  25. i take it youve been turned down for a certain firearm calibre ? they have to have some kind of restrictions on the type of firearms people can hold. i think that if someone can show a neccessary need to hold a firearm then thats ok, but if not, why should they have it. i think the whole idea with the shotgun vs the firearm is that less damage can be done with a shotgun a long distances. rich your right there mate but close range a shotgun would cut someone in half ! we all have to go by what the firearms officer wants us to have and what he dont. but sometimes ther
