    Canada Geese

Thanks guys I have sourced them now in big numbers time to bring them down on the 1st
  2. Hi Guys does anyone know if the Canada geese are starting to congragate on the tay as yet? or tentsmuir. Cheers
  3. Hi Mik yeah the reeds can be an awsome area depending on which part as they go for miles an area called tentsmuir can be really good or invergowrie bay is always good for greys. Kingston dyke has its good times on a low tide early season. But on the whole lots of good areas on the tay.
  4. Hey mik some areas are shit hot get geese most times I go got some great areas for pinks and great area for greys. Plenty Canada's at the start of the season. Which areas have you shot on the tay mik?
  5. Do you shoot the Tay Selvey? Indeed i do Mik from the mouth out at the sea end and back to the river end been doing so since i was 5 years old

Was out on the tay 1st of September by god the Canada geese got a rude awakening there was alot a boys out and a lot of barrels going off shooting started on the moon at 2.30am and shooting was still going on at 8am never seen soo many Canada geese on the tay ever. Great Flight tho ended up with 8 Canada geese and sore arms carrying them back to the Car lol. Went out to Tentsmuir on Wednesday the 12th and that was my first sighting of Pinks and they were piling in from a great height just couldnt get under them at all but great to be out and try will head back out tonight on the good winds
  7. Anyone know any good bits for fowling on the Tay i hear there are alot of geese there at the moment i have heard that the kingston dyke can be good on a low tide. Anyone got any info they would like to share? it would be most appreciated.
  8. Hi All the 1st is nearly on us again does anyone know if the Canada geese are in at the Carse of invergowrie bay or up by the Kingston Dyke this year? there has been hundreds the last few seasons but you dont get long at them before they get wise.
  9. Yeah the birds im getting down the tay valley are gd plenty meat on them they are a little daft tho just now flying stupidly low at times along the ground basically
  10. Was out yesterday morning first time since the ban down at the tay at manorgan rock hides had 1 pinkfoot and 1 greylag hundreds of geese pinks and greys great flight. There was a batch of greylags crossed in front around 200yds out with a pour white goose in the batch great to see wasnt sure if he has been shot at before as he was trailing the main batch great to see though.
  11. Excellent mate well done with them i would rather shoot 1 greylag or 1 pinkfoot on the foreshore than 10 geese at decoys foreshores the way for me love it.
  12. Yeah he was at high risk at my neck of the woods i will certainly be looking for him next season that would be a picture to get him in the bag. Mj Robson how did Friday go mate last day?????
  13. There was also a pure white goose in with a batch of greylags yesterday morning brilliant to see. was that a snowie (black wing tips), a bar headed (grey back) or a domestic? It was very unusual [bANNED TEXT] pure white size of a greylag aswell great to see.
  14. There was also a pure white goose in with a batch of greylags yesterday morning brilliant to see.
  15. Out at Invergowrie bay this morning hundreds of Greylags and pinks shot 3 Greylags only picked 2 brilliant way to end the season must say i missed the easiest ones right over me in the first light which would usually be easy right and left but never mind that how it goes great flight tho. Last Sat was also great had another pair then good times. my total is less than other years this year i usually shoot around 20 geese a season off the tay but only shot 8 greylags this year no pinks but had some really enjoyable flights.
