I recently decided to have a go at parsnip wine, found a simple recipe online and had a go,heres the method and a couple of pics, Parsnip wine 2Kg Parsnips,450g chopped raisins,1.25Kg Sugar,1tsp pectin destroying enzyme(pectolase),Yeast,Yeast nutrient,2tsp citric acid,1tsp grape tannin Making Parsnip Wine Scrub the parsnips, chop them and put them into a pan with water. Bring to the boil and simmer gently until the are tender (but not mushy - this is important as if you over cook them the wine may not clear later.)Strain the liquid onto the sugar and chopped raisins, top up

Simon when you say one hole group, reminds me of a shooting situation years ago when me and a friend where out on a permission zeroing,we found a breeze block in the grass and used it to zero at around 30 yards as was our routine, anyway I shot at a little stain on the block to which my friend, standing safely nearby, shouted yep hit it,I loaded up the tx200 again and took aim and fired only to hear missed it,strange i thought as I was sure I'd hit the target, anyhow upon further inspection it turned out I'd put the pellet right up the previous ones arse! As in a one hole group, only time I've truly
  11. Not sure,I just find a recipe I can follow easily with few and simple ingredients and assume they are tried and tested, possibly for decades or more? So have been perfected almost,I'd guess there's not much I could do to improve them just tweek to my own taste?
  12. could have a steady supply if it all goes well, any sign of numbers dropping and you can always go for one big hit and freeze them for later anyway,if theres no owner wanting rid then theres no pressure at the minute so stick to your plan and see how it goes,at least you tried either way but good luck because your patience deserves rewarding i think...
