    Well I said a few days ago I'd shoot some groups and put up a pic so between doing stuff this afternoon I got the gun down and did it,was kind of rushing but put out a piece of paper and put a hole in it as a target,shot five into it and got this group from sitting, Carried on with some bits then thought I'd have another go,went to put up a target piece of paper and spotted this down the garden so just shot at it instead,standing leaning on the back door frame, As I was getting packed up I saw a movement in the tree outside my window so took a peek and there were two squirrels si

    I think a barrel that is made as part of a batch will still be individual to some extent,under a microscope there'd be little marks and scratches etc that can be transferred to a bullet travelling down it,like a fingerprint they'd be unique,the whole bullet would be marked so only a portion of it need be left to find some markings,the gun would then need to be found to compare it to for conformation,a casing can be traced to a gun by the mark left from the firing pin as well I believe,any how whatever the chances and possibility of id of a bullet its not what the rifling in his barrel is for,g

    Sounds spot on,air rifle hunting with a dog retrieving,I enjoy roost shooting,choosing your spot and waiting for them to come in,takes some patience and your battling cramp and the cold and whatever,good result for a couple of hours...

    There have been a couple but yes not for a while,I'll shoot some groups at the weekend,really should do that a couple of times a week,and post a pic or two,hunting photo? You might have to wait a bit longer for that one!

    Glad to see in there that you're not selling it,sort it and start again,you'll soon be back singing it's praises and proudly putting up pics! We've all forgot or overlooked something at some point (haven't we? ) and usually it sticks in the mind and doesn't happen again (too often ) I think you're over thinking just a tad at times with this calibre,pellet,rifle and scope swapping and testing so not thinking out every single detail,most of us only swap one thing at a time!!
